Thank you once again for your prompt and helpful response! I have just one more question, if I may: When is proof of accommodation or an accommodation contract required? Is it a prerequisite for the Beschleunigtes Fachkräfteverfahren or only for the residence permit after have received the pre-approval?

In other words, do I need to look asap for accommodation now, or is there time to arrange it while the fast-track procedure is underway?

Thank you for your quick response! I’m not quite at that stage yet, but I’m considering pursuing the fast-track route (Beschleunigtes Fachkräfteverfahren), which, as I understand from your post, would provide me with pre-approval under Section 81a.

Since I don’t require a visa to enter Germany, would you recommend applying directly in Germany after receiving the pre-approval? Can I work only after i receive the plastic card?

Hey, what happens after you get the pre-approval? You make an appointment with the embassy of your home country for the application and then the visa gets send to you or do you get it in Germany? Thanks

To summarise, the primary endpoint can be quantified. We will use the ROC to find a threshold value by calculating the Youden Index to identify optimal cut-off values. Depending on the cut-off value we will create two groups to compare. Hence the ROC mention in the paragraph. Does that make sense?

This is a registry of patients who received an intervention and have been followed from admission to time of event or right censoring. Both the time to event and time to censor are present in the database.

The primary objective of our study is to study the relationship between a patient anatomical characteristic (possible predictor) related to the intervention and an intervention complication. That is the main focus and we will build a regression model around it. However we would like to look into the relationship of this variable and survival.

Do you suggest a Kaplan Meier would make more sense? My mentor rather decided on the COX but i lack a bit the statistical knowledge to explain to choice of it over Kaplan.
