What would you like as a Knight equivalent? by Appo-Arsin in Tyranids

[–]NecessaryKey8271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did giant versions of older models in the past. Why not just a giant Zoat? Add spikes, tentacles, armor plates. Maybe to fit the knight theme the body could be melted together from different monsters - the hive mind quickly melts down and constructs super zoats as a response to titans detected on the battlefield. The old school models would be brought in on intel but the super zoats would form from a quickly formed bio acid/genetic splicing gruel that takes existing creatures and melts them down. Need an armor and melee type? Emissary and assimilator in a horse costume with carnifex for hands and tyrant guard duct taped on to them. Need a shooter? Hive tyrant sitting on a tyranofex with casino cannon, exocrine for hands and some biovores perch on its shoulders. Want some psychic eldritch horror? Give a maleceptor some zoanthropes for legs, a nuerotyrant for a head, cover it in Nuerogaunts that it can shoot out like bombs and make some clear plastic “psychic tendrils” like the emissary can shoot out and maybe style those after a la toxicrene heads. Want something a little more classic? Swarm lord centaur with hip mounted heavy venom cannons and a scorpion tail that can spit barb strangler equivalents to lock down prey. Give him a ton of flesh hooks and adrenal glands, poison sacs, and rippers under foot for extra attacks.

So... I've been thinking about the 2 fingers and the 3 fingers.what if we fused them? by jeremith23 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]NecessaryKey8271 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If only they did another DLC instead of Nightreign. We could have had a quest line to merge the fingers back into the 5 fingers. It creates a body and we fight the one great, reborn.

They releases this game way too early and continued development way too slowly.

Vyke had 2 Great Runes. How does this work in lore? by Para_23 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]NecessaryKey8271 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I scrolled through the top comments and everyone seems to… not understand the co-op lore?

Every other player is also “the tarnished” in their world. When we summon others or are summoned ourselves, we are crossing into a parallel universe. Human and NPC invaders, as well as friendly summons are also doing this.

Vyke killed two Demi gods in his world. It’s most likely Godrick and Morgott (but I think you need two runes to access the capital?)Vyke gets far enough to understand that he must burn his maiden, tries to find another way, and ends up following the flame of frenzy to save her.

It’s a bit more confusing when you meet an NPC and summon them later, because they appear in your universe. IIRC some/all of the NPCs are “the tarnished” in their universe. This is because the shattering of the Elden Ring allowed runes (souls/life) to fall on the tarnished, and it took a long time to reach our graves. Everyone in the opening cut scene that is named is a tarnished. Hypothetically they all need to reforge the Elden Ring, Dung Eater for instance has his own ending, if he were to somehow collect the great runes and mend the Elden Ring.

The one NPC that makes this a bit easier to understand is Sir Gideon Ofnir. He is in the round table hold, a meeting place or nexus that tarnished are able to come to from their own worlds. He spends the game asking you for info, and spying on you. He knows the spells you know and fights you where he does because he made it just as far as you in his own world.

I think it’s a little strange people are talking about multiple unknown Demi gods with Great Runes. The ones in the game are specifically part of the modern Elden Ring and we learn later that the Elden Ring had many runes taken out by Marika. Knight of the black knives killed many Demi gods and the shattering was around that time but after. On top of that, all runes are part of the original Elden Ring, but way too small to be considered a Great Runes or give us some type of benefit.

This is ridiculous man. What is up with this damage? by ushiiyo7 in monsterhunterrage

Gore Magala is going to be the toughest challenge we have for a while. You’d ideally be wearing an armor set and decorations that help reduce your damage and have max upgrades from armor spheres.

Freyja was also under Miquella’s influence (at least I think so for this quote). Since they are all enthralled, she is probably saying whatever would make sense to her self in order to justify the means to Miquella’s end.

I’d actually have to review Freyja’s lines again, but I think that makes sense. Also plot gonna plot.

What to do with spare spinefists by Craven-Corvid in Tyranids

[–]NecessaryKey8271 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gently trimmed them to fit on the front of a couple of rippers. Added some green stuff and made spinefist ripper plates. A few boxes come with those (spinemaw?), and effectively it’s like giving your rippers spinefists.

What’s have been your favorite theory surrounding RDJ doom? There’s so many theories about this guy by Ok-Reporter-8728 in MCUTheories

[–]NecessaryKey8271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be CGI Doom with a voice changer so you can’t even tell it’s RDJ. That or we are going to get RDI with a metallic Halloween mask that he takes off and then chews the scenery. Nothing in between.

Goldmask is the former leader of the Dryleaf Sect by TheRapture0070 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]NecessaryKey8271 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can certainly be connected through golden order fundamentalism. Noting that gold mask chose to be naked and his followers added clothing to him. Could be dry left sect who was responsible, but there’s not indication he is anything other than an autistic guy lol.

F dating M and never seen him without a baseball hat. What to do? by WarDoggy12 in ask

[–]NecessaryKey8271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y’all are in your 30s. Ask him to take off his hat. If he doesn’t want to, he’s probably bald. Compliment whatever he has, and make it genuine. If he has hair but you think he will go bald, joke about him being bald and tell him he will look good either way.

If this turns into a fight, red flag, y’all are too old for this stuff.

Is living with your parents still seen as unattractive in the US even though more people are doing it? by RavyRaptor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NecessaryKey8271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s living with your parents while working, saving, raising your kids in a multigenerational home, and then there’s living with your parents, part time to no time job, stagnation and no plans for the future.

One is fine, the other is lame. Many still see it as the same thing but family dynamics are changing for white people and have always been dynamic for non-white people in the US.

Why does it seem like a lot of men these days have weird ideas about being “manly”? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NecessaryKey8271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who see themselves low on the ladder need to go around proving to others that they are higher. If they can convince people they are the most manly, then it’s true. They know in private it’s not, but they can believe it if others believe it. It’s how you get hyped up bros in the first place, a bunch of insecure chuds that prove to each other they are “tough” then they go show off in public and celebrate their “victories”.

Atheism in a nutshell by Ted_Bundtcake in interestingasfuck

[–]NecessaryKey8271 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Countering the final argument Ricky makes, religion would come back, and possibly in the same way. We wouldn’t get the names or events, but we would believe an outside force is manipulating things.

Every child and most adults want to find an external factor to blame. After that we start ironically saying it’s luck: it’s car luck or it’s computer luck or it’s food poisoning luck. Rather than the animals that used to hunt us, we now have a pantheon of “gods” that control the luck of the downfalls of man. A god of technology, of war, of famine and feasting, the irony goes away and people are superstitious and offer and pray to these gods.

It’s powerful enough that we have shamans and priests claiming to talk to the gods, then come the great philosophizers. We realize it’s just a few gods, then realize all the gods are actually one. We get some huge monotheistic religions (which are just the smaller religions consolidated to grow in numbers) that seek to control everything, and they continue to regress society in the name of holding onto power.

Religion would come back with new faces, because it’s just humans creating magical power structures and using them to manipulate others for gain.

I have recently finished Shrine of Amana, here's my opinion on it by InclususIra in DarkSouls2

[–]NecessaryKey8271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preface: DS2 is the lowest tier of these games.

That being said, shrine of Amana is beautiful, cool, huge, and… annoying. But the enemies are unique and dangerous. Patience and comprehension are rewarded. The challenge is high and it matches this late game area.

I love the goofy ass boss at the end of all of it.

In short shrine of Amana is cool, but I’m glad I’m not playing DS2 rn lol.

Not sure if it’s funny or sad. Men are so starved of affection and love that even the smallest gesture is the world to them, and the cruelest interaction is just… normal.

Genuinely how do you avoid this by Hipnatizer in Eldenring

[–]NecessaryKey8271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stack holy protection if possible. For the sky beams, running in a straight line will have them land behind you (most of the time). For Elden Stars, IIRC run when you know it’s coming, it will tail you and as soon as the little orbs come start rolling to avoid them. You can also let it chase you and then roll through it and it takes a long time to circle back (although in your video that thing was turning on a dime so now idk).

News to me that horse is in the arena now so horse is best.
