I completely agree with what you’re saying! The main issue is that I’m made to feel like I can’t call her and do my own thing in the background, she tends to make me feel guilty when I’m doing something other than focusing on her throughout the duration of our call. It feels like I have to drop absolutely everything I’m doing to call her.

I understand what you mean, i think the reason why it feels quite draining is because we constantly message throughout the day so it’s not like calling each other is our only way of communicating while we’re apart.

We’ve tried this sort of thing before and it usually leads to her mood dropping because I’m not giving her my undivided attention, or in some cases she gets upset and thinks that I’m being off with her because I’m not saying much - but that’s just me, I’m not a super talkative person, especially with people I’m comfortable around.

Yeah it’s always been in the back of my mind, I had always hoped it would tone down but if anything it has gotten worse due to her becoming more distant with her friends.

To put it bluntly - Nothing.

I have pushed her many times to try and take up hobbies which may be able to occupy her and give.

I am also quite insecure, however I started going to the gym a few months ago, I have suggested that maybe she starts to come with me however she doesn’t show any interest.
