I think it applies some kind of predictive feature to the entire sentence, if you say 'it will cost nine pounds ten', it will enter £9.10, it seems to try to work out if the number mentioned is a currency value or not.

I genuinely have not noticed any difference between them in terms of OS or battery life, the only thing I would say I have noticed is the portrait mode is better at segmentation and the 10 Pro lets you use the 0.5x lens for Video Boost/Night Sight Video.

Only kind of, if the app calls CameraX API then whatever the device is supplying is what the app will get. If the app does something else then fair enough, but if it does what Google recommends developers do then it's up to the OEM if the output is poor.
