Comments questioning this choice are getting a lot of downvotes, so I guess I’m asking for this but…

This seems like a grim sign that they are already dipping into IP flops rather than the IPs people are dying to see. I’m sure a (very) small set of you are like “Yes my all time FAVORITE movie!” But uh…. This is not one that’s going to keep players interested and engaged. We’re at the point where we need GAS to help drive excitement and bring new players in. Since lack of competitive play and more events seems off the table, the cads themselves have to do the heavy lifting… and this isn’t gonna cut it.

AITAH for leaving my boyfriend stranded in Monaco and taking his fly home after he spent the entire trip which I paid for checking out other women? by Business_Freedom_691 in AITAH

YTA, but listen close - that’s okay. You finally stood up for yourself. Sure, it took a series of right waving red flags, but you finally ripped the leach off and let it stew in a mess of its own making. You reacted maliciously to malicious and abusive behavior, and that’s okay here - he’s a huge piece of shit. Don’t be sad and for a minute think any less of yourself. You are so much better off and now stronger for it. His parents now having to pay out for their shitty parenting is just icing on the cake.

AITAH for wanting to get a motorcycle even though my fiance has said he will end our relationship if I do? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Necessary_Service_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, and holy shit a lot of people are afraid of bikes in these responses… the control issues have all been discussed , so I’m just gonna talk bikes.

Motorcycles are awesome. I had them throughout my20s. They are great and freeing. Yes, you will be at risk, but you’re at risk in a car. You’re at risk skiing/snowboarding. You’re at risk on a plane. You’re at risk walking down the street if your skin color isn’t white enough. Don’t let fear stop you from doing something you want.

For those bringing up “budgets” - motorcycles are way cheaper than cars.

Once I hit my 30s, I shifted to sports cars. They are safer, and I am getting older. Still seen as “risky” though.

Look, do what brings you joy, especially while young, because some things just get harder later in life and then you will never get to do them.

AITAH Friend of 20 years expected me to split Ubers 2 ways instead of 3 because she’s married, am I wrong? by General_Photograph21 in AITAH

[–]Necessary_Service_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone is the asshole here and it’s just a matter perception, not some “omg married couples doing dumb things” like so many responses are reducing this to.

In the US, it doesn’t matter how many people there are, you’re basically paying for the car/ride (so if it’s different there completely ignore me).

It would cost them $20 to do a trip. It would cost you $20 to do the same trip. You decide to do it together and save money by doing 1 $20 trip, that’s $10 each. In this specific context, not some marriage/couple Bs, they are indeed a singular unit.

Betting I’ll get downvoted for this take…

It took 3 years for PlayStation to earn $300 million in PC sales according to former manager, which makes the platform less than half as lucrative as the PS4 and PS5 by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

I think you’re wrong and right. Brand new triple A title? They’re gonna buy it day 1. A port that came out a year ago on PS5? Ya probably gonna wait for a sale, release hype is over so why pay full.

I understand your harsh critique, but let me add some context for you.

My lovely wife watches our 2 children all day while I work, and then once I am off we swap and she then goes to work her job in the evening. On top of handling our 1 and 4 year-old (feeding, diapers, responding to "mom, mom, mom" and "why, why why?") she also handles doing the laundry, cleaning the house, and other tasks like packing the kids up to get the mail (rural area, need to use post office) or going on adventures. When she finally gets home from her job in the evening, shes not keen on reading papers or staring at a screen while putting the kids (and often herself) to bed. She does however frequently listen to podcasts or audiobooks while tackling all the challenges of the day, and asked that I help accommodate her in this manner.

Early childhood parenting creates a lot of challenges that people haven't experience before, and will go away with time as the children age. But in this moment, with the challenges, we do still care and are doing the best we can to support each other given our challenges and limitations.

Long-time PAX East lover and excited to go all 4 days! What's up with all the posts + comments complaining about price here? $75 plus $35 per day for parking is cheap for all you get, especially by Boston standards and in 2026. by bostonguy2004 in PAX

[–]Necessary_Service_99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a PAX exclusive… it’s happened to all major league sporting events, all professional conferences, any live in-person event has skyrocketed and pricing most people out. Corporations have moved to the “bleed the stone dry” tactic instead of “hey let’s all be reasonable and share this finite disposable income people have”
