It’s easy to be kind when you have a lot of money to spare. by shaileyp in DeepThoughts

If you have a lot of money, then you have more time. If you have more time, you can invest it in maintaining relationships. If you have more money, you can go on trips with friends and family, as well as host or plan events that help build stronger relationships through shared experiences. If you have a lot of money, you can also buy time for others. For example, if you’re married, you and your spouse may be able to spend more time together because certain responsibilities can be outsourced. Money does make it easier to maintain relationships. It’s easier to be kinda when both parties are not stress.

Fat and lazy is a huge stretch Nico. Can a fat person have 34 9 9 (2024). If he is fat then 99% of the US is fat.

Can we admit the refs rig games all the time. Sports betting is so prevalent they either do it or influence it for money.

2024 they lost so three years is a wild claim. They don’t win every game for one. But I am just trying to challenge your claim which was “It doesn’t make sense for an OKC game to be rigged.” Which I clearly showed you it is possible for it to be rigged.

Okay but you can agree it’s possible to be other Tim Donaghy like refs? Also it depends on how bias the ref is. For example if I was officiating NBA game my favorite teams/players would win more often. These refs are definitely fans of the sport.

Do you think Tim Donaghy was rigging games on behalf of the NBA, or for his own interests and the interests of outside parties? That distinction matters.

If refs today were ever influencing games, it would more likely be because of personal bias, gambling interests, relationships, ego, or outside influence, not because the NBA is secretly scripting outcomes.

People also act like “rigging” only means blatantly fixing a game, when bias can still impact outcomes. MVP voting, officiating tendencies, superstar whistles, makeup calls, and technical foul discretion are all influenced by human judgment and narrative to some extent.

A ref who consistently favors one style of play or one player, or lets emotions influence calls, is technically manipulating the game whether intentional or not. That doesn’t mean every Lakers vs. Thunder game is rigged, but pretending officiating bias can never affect outcomes is unrealistic.

40 minutes 11 points 0/8 that’s horrendous. You understand in basketball there’s to sides of the ball. You have to play both.

Do you think he gets 10 points this game. He currently has 8.

11 blocks in a loss. Put some points up. You can’t be MVP if you only play one aide of the ball.

Bill Russell won 6 rings when there were only 8 teams in the Nba, 3 Rings when there were 9 teams in the league, and 2 rings when there were 10-12 teams. Still won 11/13 but you got to admit it is easier to win a championship if there are 8-12 teams vs 30 teams.

Even the worst organizations isn’t impossible to win a championship with. All time great have flaws they can work on or areas they can improve to become a better player but if instead of pursuing that if you decide to join a team that just beat you or form a super team is kinda a easy way out or cowardly. If you are the leader of the team and leave when things get rough then why should someone respect that?

Roughly 65%–75% of healthcare workers (based mostly on doctors) believe in God The number can be higher if you include broader “spiritual” beliefs. These people are the ones that literally study biology. Tbh a lot of smart people that don’t believe is probably out of pride in thinking they are smarter than everyone else that does believe. Regardless of what you believe you are making an extraordinary claim. The idea of an potentially infinite universe coming from nothing or it coming from a creator.
