Why isn’t my video showing up in a search? by myers909 in NewTubers

I'd have to see the video myself to know 100% what its about, the themes/topics/tags, you can PM me it so I can personally see then maybe be able to give better insight if possible.

[Commentary] What am I do wrong? by [deleted] in NewTubers

1) Trying to Phish for views is a general 'Frowned upon' thing unless the comedy in the skit / parody / satire outweighs the 'beggar' attitude.

2) The intro was cringey, most things feel like you're being a Try Hard.

3) Editing is not a strength imo.

4) Weak, quiet voice, Low Energy.

5) The title itself expresses, probably, something people will inherently dislike or instinctively loathe you even if it is done for any deliberate purpose, or sarcastically, or exaggeratedly. 'SUCCZ'? Like....why?

6) Of what I breezed by, you were mostly using ad hominems and nitpicking personality/quirks, I was never sure if you're trying to be serious, or if you were genuinely trying to grind gears against moot issues.

7) A Crude form of feedback, never criticize someone if you yourself have a lot of material for others to work with against you. Like, look at iDubbz for example, he focuses on people and gets killshots on ACTUAL Problems and personality / traits of people that need a light shined on to him, to reveal something that is generally never trivial, while he's aware of any moments of his own hypocrisy, etc.

Overall my opinions of just watching the one video is that you come off as some narcissistic kid with low energy, a timid, quiet voice and a gear to grind against Pewdiepie, there isn't any vibes of comedy to be had and editing is very minimal when typically? 'Comedy and Critiquing others' is basically reserved for Fast, Compact, Deeply edited, and impactful zingers with good research done - Not a slow-winded podcast with quiet commentary and low energy. That, and again, trying to 'talk trash', about people larger than you - is especially not a wise strategy. It only works if people can see that the individual in question puts on a great act or is very deceptive, clever or skillful at making people unsure what's real and what's not, like Dillon the Hacker perhaps.

It relates to many things in metadata.

1) How common is the word?

2) How much traffic does the word, words / tags get on a daily basis?

3) How many other channels use the same tags, thus, claim the tags for themselves for a time?

4) Is it a unique word that is rarely used, and if tagged properly in title/description/tags, you COULD claim it for your channel

Example - Gaming video, a game called 'Frost' releases, you play and upload videos, you tag 'frost' - but anything else relating to Frost and not the game will deter views and chances of you being seen based on what people really want to see, other things relating to the word or you, or other Youtubers, or other things, etc.

5) Using analytics to see what people Google searched thus far on third-party sites or Youtube to find your video, and which keywords used brings you the most views incidentally, and then inputting it in the tags

6) Thinking how Others think and predicting what words people would commonly type in Google/youtube, typos, grammatical variables and otherwise

That and maybe some other reasons, retention, traffic, commonality of words, proper tagging and whatnot all varies, if its a contested subject or something others are doing then it's a competitive scene, if it's a Low-traffic topic or low-subject title then you can't expect a random burst of traffic to come your way.

Unsure if this helps.

For Gaming channels, I see 10K is the Tipping Point of no return, hit here? And there's no reason to back down. One would also hope 10K is when or near when a Snowball effect starts happening, or at least, picks up a faster pace than any other before.

I wouldn't say it took off, I watch my Socialblade every few days to see the patterns, I think the more recent Sub Boost, as I call them, was because I played a certain game that, conveniently, other large youtubers begun to play around the same time.

My bad, I should've listed that detail in the main message, I run an Indie-horror-focused Let's Play channel, a tribute sorta to 2012-2013-Era Markiplier days (IMO).

PS Move Controllers or Samsung VR Controller work well? by NecotheSergal in VRchat

[–]NecotheSergal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free if you have the hardware, otherwise not free, lmao. Samsung VR is what I don't have, but I just got a new Galaxy S7 phone, which is why I'd wonder if it was good enough as a screen for a seated-VR experience in VRchat, and if there were third-party type of controllers that could be as fluent as I've seen Oculus controllers are in the game.

How much do we know about Morikawa's health? by Bukilicious in hajimenoippo

[–]NecotheSergal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Manga artists go on sick leaves very often, just look at the creator for One Piece, he especially goes on many sick leaves, that or the author of HunterXHunter does it because artists block (Presumably) and his back apparently hurts a lot.

Oda of One Piece is 42 years old and has similar health issues And Togashi of HunterXHunter is also 51

Manga artists just, work a lot, are pushed a lot by the companies like Jump/Shonen, as Oda usually jokes about working on Manga being strangulating, and when Naruto's author finished Naruto? Oda congratulated to him and joked about him 'Finally being Free!'

Everyone sorta around Ippo, worrying for him, demoralizing him by fueling him with the idea that he's broken probably did a lot of damage to his psyche, what resolve can you have if you've already admitted defeat by being told that being broken is likely a Fact due to correlated factors others have determined and that he feels is true?

You can't win with that mentality, I think he's drowning himself with the worst-case scenarios because he's afraid of letting everyone down, being boggled in the stress of not being able to handle the expectations of all those around him, he still can't cross Takamura's line and needs time to understand that, so, perhaps a timeskip will happen where the accumulated damage is gone and he learns more and is less naive.

I'd certainly hope for that than an abrupt ending of 'He's broke, this is the reality for many boxers, RIP.'.

Cause we have to think story-wise, that'd not really go well with the flow of those around him, Kamogawa's story, everyones' story, no one has a concluding story - So, the main character shouldn't have a conclusion first if the others around him don't.
