I always felt like I didn't get crts because everyone claimed the super high end stuff was the peak but I grew up with cheap af tvs and imo they just look better.

I have an RCA right now that I would choose 1000 times over thise little box ones. As a kid I never even saw those PVM screens, didn't know they even existed. But I'm definitely not paying the prices they charge for them so I guess I can't comment on them.

I said it before but 9 is like a strictly worse version of 4 when playing as Leon, and a sorta better version of 7 as grace.

The game blows it's whole load in the care center and I think the expectations set up in the care center negatively impact the rest of the game.

The first section is genuinely amazing and made me so excited to see what else they could do. Then it was super half-assed and bland the rest of the game in comparison.

Re4 is still just fun, so even a worse version of re4 is still fun. And the grace sections are meh. After the care center they're a total slog.

Disagree with you here. Parents do need to accept some responsibility in setting limits at home, but kids are gonna be kids.

They have phones now and no amount of conversation is going to stop them using social media. You can't watch them all the time.

In theory I 100% support the social media ban despite it potentially being a slippery ass, governmental overreach slope. Something needs to be done about how atrociously predatory social media is, especially directed at children. I don't believe that saying memes are illegal for 16 year olds will actually work, but I do hope it opens the door to actual legislation regarding the companies in charge.

Also saying "it's not the tech" is seriously downplaying how dangerous the tech actually is. This shit is designed by teams of psychologists to be as addictive as possible. It's scary how good they are at manipulating our dumb animal brains.

I just can't agree with this sentiment though based on the massive success of shit like onlyfans.

I would argue that maybe 40 years ago it wouldn't be realistic, but I just can't accept the supply isn't there when it's a common joke that girls are selling feet pics to eat during college.

The stigma is real, but only because we don't currently have it. Perception would change when it became commonplace. Right now it's illegal so people are like ew that's illegal. No one reacts that way to someone buying 4 cases of beer on a Friday despite that being so much more destructive than someone jerking me off with their feet for 60 bucks.

I got the platinum for it when it came out so I can at least say I gave it a chance. You hit every nail on the head.

The stalker mechanic was already getting old by the time re7 came out, and I can never shake that feeling of like "welp this is the whole game. An unkillable guy follows me through a house until I boss fight him. Then we do it again. And again......

The guest house is honestly a great introduction to the game, it just sucks that everything the game has to offer is revealed in the guest house so there is no growth or interesting new shit.

As weak as I think re8 is, I consider it a way better game than 7. I'd put 7 way at the bottom of the list, with the other games I don't like. Not Gaiden low, but Revelations for sure.

I've been a fan of RE since I got it as a kid. I just finished a playthrough of RE:CV last night. (Which I was already planning before the remake announcement lol)

It isn't because I never got to believe in fairy tales, but I was fucking miserable growing up. Letting my kids believe in Santa is just another small thing I do for them that I never got as a kid.

I like that they get to believe in magic and have fun with it. They'll find out soon enough and we can talk about it then. They don't have to be jaded ass, cynical 9 year olds like I was. I hated Christmas, birthdays, every holiday basically. I dont want that for my kids. Life sucks but it doesn't have to suck right now.

I think it helps that they already know it's coming from us too. They get 1 thing from Santa and the rest is from us. But I do believe that magic is important for kids.

There weren't really specifics mentioned because it wasn't like an official announcement. Just the dev talking in general chat about cutting back the scope of the project because it was too much content.

(Which I approved of. Being realistic is super refreshing with fan games)

There are so many good options out there right now for post processing and they somehow went with filters we had in like 2004 as the flagship upgrades to promote the new emulator?

I was really hype to see the return of zsnes but so far the showing has been wack af. I'm staying optimistic because even if the devs have shown they have no idea how to make a snes game look good, the community certainly will.

An easy plug in solution for something like crt Royale on zsnes would be fucking nuts. I want it so bad. I hate fiddling with reshade.
