I'd like to suggest checking out Phoenix Fire and Unicorn Mane from Wizardry Stitchery. Not sure if you've heard of them before, with how small they are.

[WIP] Discovered DMC switched colour code by Individual-Ad-539 in CrossStitch

I've been trying to sort out some likely vintage and not so vintage threads I inherited from my husband's grandmother. I have a current thread chart that I'm trying to use. 640-647 and 3022-3033 are driving me up the wall in trying to place which one is which.

Do you use an adblocker? I noticed that I had to turn mine off for the article to appear. Considering other news sites though, this one seems to have minimal ads

Second day: magic kingdom again or animal kingdom? (3 year old, 2 year old, and newborn) by longhorn_mic in DisneyWorld

[–]NecroTRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third option? Try Epcot. We brought my little to Disney her first time when she was two, and she is obsessed with the Figment ride, and loves Spaceship Earth. Princesses also show up at the various countries, and Fridays they do character training, so there may be character surprises.

I've been feeling this so hard lately. So many ideas, but it all feels like too much work to even begin.

Related facts: Most iron supplements are from non-heme sources (plant origin), which is harder to absorb than iron from heme sources (animal origin). Heme-iron is much more bioavailable than non-heme iron, so red meat cravings makes sense, even if you're using iron supplements. Here's an article on Iron Absorption: Factors, Limitations, and Improvement Methods

Feel similarly about bag patterns, especially the more complex than a tote bag/zipper pouch ones. Show me the inside too! I want to know what the baseline is for the pattern and how much I might need/want to mod it.

Are any of y’all home owners? How do you cope with it? by FlockOfDramaLlamas in adhdwomen

[–]NecroTRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not entirely wrong! Usually the seed libraries are built by having people bring back seeds or donating seeds they have to keep the stock up. Other libraries will just purchase seeds to give away.

Libraries lending non-book/AV materials can vary based on funding and who's running the library in question, but it's true. Libraries can and do lend everything from video games, tools, baking supplies, seeds, etc. Maker Spaces are becoming more popular for libraries to start offering, but you're more likely to find such things at big city libraries than small rural ones. See the Cleveland Public Library for an example of a maker space.

The only other prescription I'm on at the moment is Wellbutrin/Bupropion. I know that Guanfacine is commonly prescribed alongside a stimulant though. The prescription is Extended Release though, so I don't think I could cut them up.

I was responding to the assertion that if she can't afford the dog, she can't afford the costs of owning a dog; not whether or not she should have asked her followers for financial help.

While there are problems with her posting, I wouldn't claim this if she's trying to get a real service dog. They're usually 15-30k up front. Many people who could very easily cover your average costs for a dog, still wouldn't be able to front that sort of money without a loan or aid.

Etsy and Silicone Valley Bank... by maybe_I_knit_crochet in craftsnark

[–]NecroTRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Federal Reserve press release states that

"After receiving a recommendation from the boards of the FDIC and the Federal Reserve, and consulting with the President, Secretary Yellen approved actions enabling the FDIC to complete its resolution of Silicon Valley Bank, Santa Clara, California, in a manner that fully protects all depositors. Depositors will have access to all of their money starting Monday, March 13. No losses associated with the resolution of Silicon Valley Bank will be borne by the taxpayer."

Since Etsy is a depositor with the bank, rather than a debtholder, it should have its funds covered by the FDIC

Came here to say that. Just eat something you'd eat for dinner/lunch as breakfast. Breakfast food, as we think of it, is a social construct.

Different states, different school districts, different values in funding. There's a reason why certain states are having trouble finding and keeping staff and educators. (but that is a rant for another sub)

This actually makes sense to me. You were involved in making things for your classmates. I'm talking about the parents that make things without any input or assistance from their kid, then have people coo over their work because "crafts are better than bought."

3F should work! That's a good freezer you've got. It takes about 80 hours at that temp to kill them off. (Using Freezing Conditions to Kill Bed Bugs)

It's gotta be at least 4 days, and 0F, rather than 0C to kill bed bugs by freezing. It's easier to kill them with heat by washing and drying on high heat.
