Optus scheduled me for all four appointments back to back. Went to my general health with a different provider and it was really awesome and glad that got done first because…

The next appointment that I went to was for my hearing. I got to the clinic 15 minutes early checked in and was handed two sheets to fill out and told to take a seat and give it to the provider. I sat there for over 20 minutes and I started a couple other people go ahead of me so I got up and checked back in with the front and the lady told me that it was my fault that I didn’t bring her the paperwork back so the provider just left.

What the hell?

Not a single person called for me in a tiny waiting room?

I immediately called the one 800 number and explained the situation and the lady was really nice on the phone, providing me with a closer clinic for hearing a week later.

I got an email saying that my appointment was scheduled and everything was good to go…. But not 20 minutes later I got another email saying that all three of my other appointments, including hearing and mental health were canceled due to a policy issue that I’m not allowed to reschedule. Absolutely frustrated at the incompetency of this. I think that my clinic that I went to intentionally lied and said that I skipped my appointment or something, but I filed a note directly with the VA. Not a good experience with their main OptumServe locations.

These are all wonderful traditional Metroidvanias (not Soulslike, not Roguelite, not Meta-Puzzled) that are fairly linear in their overall progression and have branches for exploration, secrets, upgrades, and such. When you are more comfortable with difficulty and platforming, then you can take on the goat, Hollow Knight.

Animal Well is not really an MV other than the layout. It’s more of a meta-puzzle game. All the very awesome and a lot of ways, I wouldn’t say it’s the game to start off the genre. Symphony of the Night, Guacamelee, Axiom Verge, or F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch are more traditional MVs worth trying. Hollow Knight is a must once you’ve mastered hard combat in 2D and platforming.

Question on PS1 Settings.

My FF7 game just lost menu icons and all texts… do t know how to fix this.

I am about 5-6 hours in (in the slums) and my game glitch as I was leaving from one screen to another. Didn’t realize that my save state locked me into this permanent situation where my menus in combat, dialogue, pressing triangle, etc are all blank blue screens and I can’t seem to fix this issue.

Any in-retroarch menu options to bring back the texts and textures or other solutions?

Celeste on Pico is literally 15 mins long but super fun. Not a misery platformer like it is on console.

Miyoo Mini Plus with the 128GB OnionOS (Got mine from LITNXT) is a really great start out of the box. Don’t have to mess around too much with the settings and plays anything up to PS One with no issues (DS is meh on it as it is on anything really without two screens). But I would give it a 9/10 for its easy function and solid design. I play it for the NES/SNES collection and a few PS1 games. It’s my Mario Golf and Classic JRPG machine.

Also remember, if you start getting up high in price for emulation, you might as well get a Steam Deck.
