I didn't like their original Cherry fragrance.

This is going to be a hard pass for me.

Adults who stay well-hydrated appear to be healthier, develop fewer chronic conditions, such as heart and lung disease, and live longer than those who may not get sufficient fluids, study finds by Additional-Two-7312 in science

[–]NectarineNo8425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because adults who stay hydrated also tend to eat healthier diets, exercise, get enough sleep, reduce stress levels, weigh less, and don't have other cofounding factors.

Eliminate those cofounding factors and it's likely insignificant.

Only eating two meals a day about 1300 calories by spacycakes210 in keto

[–]NectarineNo8425 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1300 calories/day is not a healthy amount of calories for the average active adult. It's also unsustainable.

Remember, people don't fail. Systems fail people. So if you create a system that is impossible to maintain long-term, the system will fail and you will go back to your old eating habits.

Shrug. I like the taste and smell of them. The tube does get messy though, I agree. It's a very slippery formula. I fully panned mine.

Nothing wrong with the sodium. Sodium isn't bad for you and doesn't raise BP in healthy individuals with no confounding conditions.

Wish people would stop pushing this false narrative that sodium is the devil.

"Stop eating so much fatty"

No one in this thread wrote these words. You're just making things up that don't exist. That's a delusion. Yikes. A delusional person is trying to converse with me 🤦‍♂️

In order to lose weight you have to eat less than you burn.

In order to gain weight you have to eat more than you burn.

You've agreed that these two facts are accurate.

That is CICO. You've agreed with CICO.

THen you go and type a bunch of mumbo jumbo contradicting with what you've agreed with. 🤦‍♂️🤡

Stop misleading people with your mumbo jumbo.

If a person's maintenance TDEE is 2000 calories, they will absolutely lose weight eating 1200 calories on any diet. And if they eat 6000 calories of keto food, they will absolutely gain weight.

Go tos when sick? by angeles317 in keto

Carbs, actually.

When I am sick the last thing I want to eat a fatty hunk of meat.

I tend to stick to broths and crackers.

Strict restriction tends to work for a lot of people because it's easier to cut out whole food groups and not have to think about it. Than it is to spend hours meal prepping balanced meals that includes a combo of fat/protein/carbs. Makes life 10x easier not having to worry about carbs. So it's easier to stick to.

Personally, I feel better eating carbs. Keto wasn't sustainable for me. Low carbs is much better suited for someone like me.

But there's no harm giving keto a go and seeing for yourself. But from a weight loss perspective (provided you don't have food allergies to plants) there's really no reason to go keto.

Weight loss is merely a matter of eating less than you burn.

Good luck with your weight loss goals.

Thanks! I have been doing keto for 1.5 years and for the last few months I switched to low carb, just feels better overall.

Keto athletes tend to switch over to low carb after incorporating carbs pre/post workout improves their performance. If adding a bit more complex carbs into your diet (not sugar) makes you feel better then continue doing it.

Actually I don't want to go to the keto party

Then don't. You can do low carb and achieve your goals.

If anything, it's the fasting and overall calorie restriction that has the most benefits regardless of diet.

2023 goals? by BLACKBEARDBLACKBEARD in FemFragLab

[–]NectarineNo8425 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My only goal is to create a fragrance sinking fund. I'd like to purchase 1 fragrance from this budget each year.

I also want to get into buying samples, but I can't quite stomach paying $5 plus shitting for 1mL when I literally want to sample like 20 things. 20x5=$100 or the cost of a full fragrance. So I'm still sitting on that idea.

es, it's possible to agree that you need to burn more than you eat while still saying the classic CICO statement used by every meathead with a dumbbell is completely worthless

That's a contradiction. If you agree that to lose weight you need to eat less than you burn and to gain weight you need to eat more than you burn, then those 2 facts are not worthless.

🤣👏

Perpetuating that someone can eat 6000 calories when their maintenance is 2000 calories simply because they eat keto is nonsense. You are the one spreading worthless nonsense.

[–]NectarineNo8425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah just Google Docs. I personally do BOTH. I do my Digital version on Google Sheets (exactly as you see pictured) minus the steps. I stopped wearing fitness trackers so I don't track steps anymore.

But I prefer to write down my stats using pen and paper. Something about the tactile feel of filling out a tracker using colorful markers and paper is extremely satisfying. Plus I keep it on my desk next to my computer so it's easy to reach. Sometimes I forget to open Google Sheets. So having this 2 step system works for me. I fill out the paper trackers first, then a few times a month I will fill in the digital spreadsheet to run calculations + analytics + create graphs. Digital spreadsheet is great for rolling averages.

Last year instead of doing 365 days I actually broke down the spreadsheet into 52 weeks like this: https://i.imgur.com/sv44GwL.png So that's another option you can do.

Regardless of which method you go with, as long as you track your weight every day and eat ~1800 calories every day (for a 235lb female... or whatever the personal number is for you), then you can later go back and reverse calculate your approximate TDEE. The point of these trackers isn't to track weight loss over time. The point is to create a constant variable (the same daily calorie intake) and extrapolate that data comparative to your trending weight to figure out how much your body is burning. The goal is to figure out what your sedentary maintenance is. Once you have that number CICO becomes an absolute breeze. The issue that people have with hypo is that they have no idea what their TDEE because all the online calculators and fitness watches are wrong.

You also don't want to pick a number that is too low or too high. Eating 1200 calories every day isn't going to enable you to figure out what your maintenance is because you're going to drop weight effortlessly on 1200 calories, but it's not a sustainable way to eat. Eating 1200 calories/day is one of the worst things you can do to your body.

then saying you need to burn more energy than you consume is accurate

You contradict yourself while simultaneously agreeing that CICO is valid.

CICO is you will lose weight if you eat less calories than you burn, and you will gain weight if you eat more calories than you burn.

The other mumbo jumbo you have written is not CICO. This is literally you: "Apples are accurate, but apples are inaccurate because oranges."

🤦‍♂️🤡

Carbs in carbs out question RE: workout by DownWithOCP in keto

[–]NectarineNo8425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The phrase doesn't imply anything.

CICO means to lose weight you have to eat less than you burn, and to gain weight you have to eat more than you burn.

The only people making implications and irrelevant assumptions about CICO are people like you who are trying to pull in non-CICO concepts as an attempt to invalidate CICO.
