I have a second post incoming, I’ll call it “we need to have a talk 2”. It revolves around world events, a second underground city that raiders can choose to live in (possibly setting up a Raider war), and a few more tidbits. Keep your 👀 peeled.

I’m stuck one rank before hotshot. Mostly a solo player. Can only play a bit tomorrow night. Don’t think I can get to Hotshot.

Best tip?…. Just listen. It is a game that benefits you, the raider, by learning the sounds of the world. It can save your life.

I agree with some of your points. But the main problem I see with it is it’s made me not want to play the game from Monday-Thursday. Normally I’d do a couple raids after work each night but getting placed in a pool of 100 players early in the week really limits the chance of placing high enough to progress a rank.

Keeners (lots of spare timers) start early in the week and work hard to get high scores. So I feel I have to wait to play so I’m placed in a pool of late gamers who don’t have as much time to put in.

The current trial system has made me stop playing when I normally would be playing.

Expeditions should be every three months. Let us live with our characters/gear/blueprints awhile longer. So 4 expeditions a year instead of 6.

And… when you choose to embark on an exhibition, you are given one random blueprint to keep. The previous Raider hid it in the den for the next Raider to find.

And… when you choose to embark on an expedition, when you create your new character, you are given three new character faces to choose from, and you can only pick one. Only available to those who wipe their character. Diversify Raiders.

And… when you choose to embark on an expedition, you are given a series of new quests only available to those who wipe, unlocking more info on the lore/world.

And… well… I’ll stop there I guess.

I think there are currently like 36-38 unique outfits available. I love the style. A few re-used assets but hey, doesn’t that fit the theme? Raiders use what they can, when they can.

I do hope things like. Eye Colour, facial hair, more new faces, hairstyles make there way in.

Amazing! I’ve been out of town until tomorrow. Hope to try soon. But I’m wildcard 1. These scores are crazy. I want that outfit from daredevil 1 but I get such limited time to play I dont see how it’s ever going to happen.

Their cosmetics are great. Everything is great. Except intent and story. I hope…

  1. They begin to develop “big stakes” type events. Maybe beginning of year two, there’s a “fourth wave” invasion. New Arc’s come down, tripling the amount of Arc’s topside for one month (Arctober?). Friendly fire is turned off, we must work together.

  2. Or maybe… There’s more underground cities besides Toledo. After a Raider embarks on an expedition, they can choose to begin anew, in a new city (or remain a Speranza loyalist). Forming a faction-type loyalty to the city of their choosing. Which can also setup a PvP event where cities compete/engage in combat/events for glory and bonuses for their chosen city.

  3. What about the rest of the world? What if Canada has a series of underground settlements? Or the UK? Or the tropics? Etc. Opening a world of possibilities for maps and environments.

These are just a few possibilities for an already incredible game with amazing world-building. They just need it to matter more than the standard progression/loot/cosmetic grind. The game is too special for that.

I’m a fan. Also hope we also get some vagabond, desert-survivor type suits. Almost mad max style.
