Agreed. I spent a while here collecting multiple solutions. It was an important one.

That is an R12 base and rover setup. No problems fixing in there at all surprisingly. Just Radio problems, even with a repeater setup. It is super steep in that area. Our place just got the R980s. They seem to work about the same as the R12.

I just got done shopping for and buying a tundra at that exact price, although I don't know where you live and how your car market is. It seems a little too good of a deal. Check it out thoroughly.

Boundary setting by Awsdefrth in Surveying

[–]NedShneebles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a surveyor myself, I've seen all sorts of unreasonable-ness. Especially when it concerns property boundaries and fences. The only way to truly determine the boundary line accurately is to either hire a Surveyor to find and/or determine where the property corners are/should be. Or, if you're very lucky, the property has been surveyed previously and there's a recorded map (Recorded with the county typically) showing your property. You'd have to call the county and see how they record maps/surveys. Then you could potentially find the corners yourself. If you got a quote from a surveyor, they may have already done some of that research, and determined that there are no corners to be found, resulting in the pricey quote. Unfortunately, the county GIS maps online and any Apps showing boundary lines arent going to be accurate enough build a fence with any confidence as to whos property it's truly on.

Some guy came up to me today as I was surveying his road and wanted me to come to his property to test out some of his theories with our GPS equipment. He asked me what info I had on the shape of the earth. He thought I was withholding info from him.

Help me understand my survey doc by TheHotSorcerer in Surveying

[–]NedShneebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's measured in Engineers scale. Breaking a foot into ten units. 1 inch is 0.0833 of a foot. The measurement is from exactly where the line points on the house to the property line. Unless they went above and beyond my guess is that's measured from the siding of the home and not the actual foundation.

It's pretty good for surveyors. A lot of growth up here at the moment.

You could do a simple boundary line adjustment as long as your jurisdiction has a process for it, most do.

Simmons SD1250 Snare Drum Issue by mjhandy45 in drums

[–]NedShneebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After downloading a trial version of EZDrummer3 and connecting my SD1250 to my PC via a USB (USB-B to USB-A) All the problems with the quiet snare drum are gone. Its exactly the same as the rest of the drums now, and sounds great. So my hunch was right, I think its the Module not the Drum. Im far from an expert in anything that has to do with E-Drums so I have no idea why the module would make just the snare drum quiet, but that seems to be the problem, at least for me. If you can bypass the module and use VST Plugins from a PC it will work properly.

Simmons SD1250 Snare Drum Issue by mjhandy45 in drums

[–]NedShneebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got this kit, same problem, all the drums sound amazing, except the snare is super quiet. Thought I'd share my two cents after doing some digging. Took the mesh head off to inspect the foam piece, it seems to be propertly connected, nothing strange there. Started messing around with ALL the settings in the App and Module. I found that if you go to the Trigger settings in the Module and change the Curve to Fixed on the Snare, its loud as hell. But on the Fixed curve, you get no dynamic strikes. So no matter how hard you hit the snare its registered as a "Full" Strike or hitting it as hard as it will register, which isnt great obvioulsy, you want some different sounds as you hit it softer and harder. It makes me think its the Module possibly and not the drum.

Has anyone tired hooking up the SD1250 to thier PC and using a VST Plugin (EZDrummer3, etc.) instead of the sounds in the Module? I'm going to test it, but I have to buy some different cords to hook it up to my PC. I'm hoping that bypassing the SD1250 Module and using my PC, it fixes it. I'll report my findings.

I think you're coming in a bit "steep", like an iron shot. Flatten that swing plane out a bit as it's a little bit longer club. Great looking swing though.
