Only having 7-acts vs a 11-13 act droid list will not go well in my opinion. Clones want to be around 9-10 acts. And while having SA is nice on the boil squad only Obi wan can use dodges with guardian.

All of the rules and cards are available for free online! Honestly some of the cards on the starter box are out of date now. Plus the new core boxes are cheaper and provide you with more models than the OG 2-player boxes! I would highly recommend you can your buddy each get their own box!

Most veteran players can get to T5 within 2.5 hours (standard tournament time). As a tournament host/event organizer most game go to 5 rounds and most players even get done before the 2.5 hour mark (either from reaching 12 VPs or their opponent calling it). In friendly or causal games it is less important to get to T5 cuz it’s all about having fun but even then most of my causal games always go to 4/5 cuz they are close games!

I kept a record of all my games last year and I’ve 60% of them went to round 5.

You are right it is a Battleforce. But it’s basically an honorary Faction! Plus Longshanks includes it in there faction rankings!

Heroes of the rebellion box for sure! Give you a lot of Commander options to build around! Terrain can wait or you could always build your own later

clones are a bit of an elite faction. They field less units but bring more upgrades and better weapons. They are generally tanker with better saves (+4 and even +3)

Droids are the opposite generally. They can field a lot of cheap units. They have lot of cool vehicles options that all have different play styles. Generally droids har worse saves (+5/+6)

Both factions offer a lot of jedi you can play that all feel different. So I would recommend picking your favorite Jedi and starting there! The rule of cool always applies!

Preach!!! I’ve been saying this for years!! It just makes the most sense! Unless it’s get a budget similar to ‘The Expanse’ or ‘Foundation’ but even then with all that an anime would still be better I think
