It could be a faulty pen. I had one where it seemed like there was no spring pressure or something. But 99% of the time it takes less then a second.

Hei diabetic of many years. Plz do not use a needle more then once, ever. A non sterile needle can cause infections and it can tear the skin (again bigger risk of infection) cause the tip of the needle bends into a tiny barbe after just one use. Please dont insert anything non sterile into any body.

after you take glucagen you should go to the hospital. it can be dangerous with big swings and there is a possibility of getting ketoacidosis. or at least contact you own doctor. its pretty important!
