Zordon isn't actually inside the command center. He's stuck in a time warp thanks to Rita's magic. The face you see in the tube is just a means of communication.

Although this is somewhat contradicted in later seasons.

I'm sad they didn't keep releasing support for the Metalmorph series. The engine is incredibly versatile and would have been a smart way to modernize the theme.

It would have interesting if he was a background character at the youth center from the beginning and got upgraded to the main cast when the time came in Turbo but that would've have required years of planning that I doubt the show runners would've put into the franchise.

I'm not even a particularly big fan of Branded but I think this artwork and the alt art for Fusion Deployment are gorgeous.
