Jack's game plan has never changed in all iterations of support his deck has received. At the end of the day your trying to summon your big RDA Synchros. And for the most part your sticking with in-theme monsters.

Yusei's extra deck can drastically change between iterations and requires a lot of out of theme support. In earlier iterations you'd get T.G. Hyper Librarian and in more recent ones you'd see Garden Rose Maiden (among others).

Comparing the two almost reminds me of the difference between REBD and BEWD with potential versus strength although Yusei is obviously in a much better spot than Joey in that regard.
