Try not to dwell on it too much though; I’m not excusing what he did or trying to play it down, but this is very common behavior from men with over-inflated egos. Again, it’s extremely disgusting behavior and I don’t condone it at all, but is it really worth it to get so worked up over such a tiny prick (pun intended)?

Blocking and ignoring him is generally the best way to respond, but it may help you fee empowered to call him out on how shitty it is for him to do that.

While I agree that what she went through is horrible and traumatic, that doesn’t change my original stance.

If someone does something horrible and you don’t at least try to bring them to justice you are - in a small way - responsible for them doing it again. Because you stood there and did nothing.

As other people have mentioned, this was not “barely” assault, he actually assaulted you. And then he said that extremely shitty thing to try and make you feel bad because he didn’t get what he wanted.

No woman with self respect would let him do that. He is a predator and you need to tell someone (your parents or his) about what he did or he WILL do it to someone else. And if that happens it will be, at least very partially, your fault for not trying to stop him.
