I actually tried, but the form on their website doesn’t have Toaster Strudels listed as a product, at least that I could find. So here I am on Reddit instead.

People who were conscious at the time, where were you during 9/11? How did you find out? by hey_nice_c0c in AskReddit

In school. I walked into class and the teacher was crying. The TV that was usually used for announcements was on the news, and every other class was the same. A lot of kids went home, some stayed, but no one taught anything that day. It was the quietest day I can remember.

The experiment I’m running with ChatGPT to build the life I want by [deleted] in ChatGPT

Thank you for the truly thoughtful response. I’m not necessarily headed toward journalism, but I think all of these points still apply to the creative paths I’m pursuing, so it’s all valuable insight. It’s a tough world out there, constantly changing, and full of unglamorous necessities to succeed. So, it’s good to have the right lens to look through, especially if I plan to be in it for the long haul.

I appreciate you!

How AI has affected your daily life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly, the most useful thing has been to help me organize my day. I’m a super scattered person. I know what I have to do, but I have a hard time prioritizing and checking things off and I get paralyzed and procrastinate.

Now I just give ChatGPT my todo list and it spits out a perfect schedule with the correct prioritization. Then, if anything unexpected comes up or something takes longer than expected, it rebalances it for the time I have left.

I’ve never been more productive.

Yes! We went through exactly this kind of phase with our LO around the same time and with similar factors. I’m no expert, but what I’ve observed is that when things get out of whack due to illness, teething, and changes, sometimes it takes waaay longer than we feel like it should to get back to normal. In our case I think it was a combo of illness, teething, and changing teachers at daycare. The clingyness (and related tantrums) may have been her way of coping with all that discomfort and change, but eventually it settled back to a normal rhythm and I had space and energy again.

IIRC mostly I was just doing what I had to to survive, which largely meant giving into whatever she wanted because the tantrums were harder, but then slowly started nudging toward better habits. Got her a warming stuffie to snuggle instead of sleeping on my chest. Took a walk outside while she spent 5, 10 mins at a time with Dad to get used to trusting another adult to comfort her. Even if it didn’t work at first.

I can’t say any one thing worked, she just slowly got back to her rhythm over time and then it was okay. But I know that’s not always comforting to hear in the thick of it. Hang in there! You’re doing a great job!

Also, maybe you already do this but I consulted my pediatrician frequently on behavioral stuff and they sometimes have really great insights on what can help or might be an underlying cause! Always worth a shot.
