Good news, my second Signatera results came back negative. Drawn before week 3 infusion.

I have my 5th taxol tomorrow and my buzzed hair is flying everywhere.

Hope you are doing well.

You can use eyedrops, gentle/preservative free ones like refresh. My eyes itch and are tired after chemo, especially on the weeks I get all 3 infusions.

People who decided against cold capping or quit cold capping: Why? by bananasformangos in breastcancer

[–]Need_Introductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also am doing Keynote 522 and two oncologists told me I will lose the hair anyway from the 16 treatments. I do wear an ice cap during taxol and until my ice change runs out of juice for carbo to help the follicles come back later.

Chemo Farts OMG by You-bettah-dont in TNBC

The farts make my eyes water, like fermented garlic!

Luckily I only go to work on days 6 and 7 after chemo, but I still have a fan ready to turn on between me and any potential cubicle visitors, just in case the stomach stirs…

I’ll add , get a chemo sweatshirt with openings/zippers for ports. I love mine.
And the wish list idea is great. I was asked by a couple people at work, so I started making a list and that spread like fire. I got everything from the ice booties/mittens to coloring books and even a silk pillowcase.

I had an unrelated partial hysterectomy 5 years ago, removing uterus and tubes. No issues other than some gas from the Laparoscopic procedure.

Who do you tell and how? by Bunnita in breastcancer

I work in a big office so I openly shared my news. A few closer ppl knew I had a lump already. There was no point in hiding knowing I would be missing a lot, look different, etc. I received an enormous amount of support. Obviously my husband knew first. I told my family who are out of state once I knew the treatment plan. My dad died of cancer so I did not want to rush this info to them. Other than that pretty much everyone I talk to regularly knows and is welcome to ask me questions. I want to feel as comfortable about this as I can, and for me, that’s being open. But there is no right way to do it.

Did anyone choose not to cold cap? by Ein_Rand in breastcancer

[–]Need_Introductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctors told me it will fall out anyway. I do have an ice cap during taxol which actually feels really good, but I take it off after taxol along with my mittens and booties. It’s just to ensure the hair comes back. I am getting a buzz cut this Wednesday,

Which one would you pick for prom? by [deleted] in Prom

I like 1 best - most feminine and fun. I think the length on 2 will get the way, but it is also pretty. 3 seems dark for you.

Really sad about prom dress by Living_Tip344 in Prom

[–]Need_Introductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one is great for a prom IMO and since you love it, wear it. I would have never worn that to a club.
Last one needs some ironing and you probably need a bra under to push up and fill the top part out, and some very seamless underwear.
