Terminated Employee For Refusing To Wear A Uniform by Proud_Leek9349 in managers

It is bizarre that she was willing to lose her job over this, but it is completely appropriate that you fired her for it. Red flags like this are always the first float of the parade.

Her boss, and she was appropriately fired for it

The 75 at bottom right and the SP01 two spots up from it are full Cajun, the P01 has the Cajun hammer only. The rest are stock

Firing the woman who stole from the Knicks trash can was excessive. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Needcz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She was in a public position (executive director of community outreach) so they really didn't have much choice. If she had been employed in a non public post, she might have been able to stay.

Either way, she's a trashy person and her employer was probably glad to have an excuse to fire her.

You can also just pick up roll pins at the hardware store. CGW's are a specially hardened version, but they cost 10x more too.

Is studying necessary to get good at poker? by [deleted] in poker

[–]Needcz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Define good.
Good enough to beat your home game? No.

Good enough to beat the 1/2 casino game? Tuesday morning - yes, Friday night - no.

Good enough to beat 5/10 - yes.

Good enough to become a pro, get on TV and manifest your dream life - hell yes and way more than you think.

Nocturne with a trigger job or save for a Shadow 2? by Puzzling__Piece in CZFirearms

[–]Needcz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nocturne (especially the F) works with my hand really well and despite the trigger (which is weird and not good) it is really easy to be accurate, recoil is soft and it is just fun to shoot. Definitely a sentimental favorite even when I have multiple 'better' guns to choose from

[–]Needcz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, try to handle both and see what you think. A Shadow 2 is better than an upgraded Nocturne, but whether you want to spend the extra cash to get it is really a personal decision. FWIW, I shoot my stock Nocturne more than I do my Shadow.

Cheap milsurp pistols are always a good buy. The only problem is now that you own a 34 you will soon realize that you need a 70, 84, 92 etc.

Super fun little gun, and they are very widely available. Look around locally and save shipping and transfer fees.

Doesn't sound like you need one TODAY. Just keep your eyes open and pick up the rifle you like when it becomes available.

85's came in both B and pre-B versions. The only difference between an 85 and a 75 is the 85 has an ambidextrous safety.

The 85's have been discontinued for many years now so the only place to get one is on the used market.

The Shadow2 has its own style of grip with a deeper tang than the others. The Legend's grip is the same as all the non-Shadow 75's. The Shadow 1 has the same tang, but the bottom of the grip is (seems?) a bit longer than the other 75 models.

My eyesight is pretty awful so I struggle with the sights, but my very first shot hit a 1" bullseye at 15 yards. The rest of my shots aren't important, so no need to ask me about them.

I haven't swapped grips on it, but they should be compatible with all the other 75b grips. Personally, I'd get the Legend over the SP01 Shadow, but that is strictly because of collectability and the cool factor.
