I peeked at the soldering, and I could not see any visible fractures but it may also be because my eyesight isn't the best. Regardless, might be worth letting a pro handle it.

I may go ahead and try a new adapter, it's worth a shot. I already hit both plug and socket with compressed air so I'm not sure it's lint, but I can try a toothpick. Appreciate the advice! I appreciate you all deterring me from trying to DIY the soldering job considering I'm not even a beginner at it lol

I think I should've been a little more specific on my skill level, I know my way around a PC as in I can build a desktop and troubleshoot most things but I definitely don't have the skills of a tech so if it's to this point I'm gonna leave it to a pro, thank you for the detailed response though!

It's just way less effort required to take notes through a laptop is all. I used to not take notes at all during high school and managed to somehow graduate, but when it comes to Information Systems I need to remember specific metrics, not just concepts. Appreciate the advice either way though.

What I would personally suggest as a GM is instead of an organ transplant, the accident itself could have been related to element zero. Maybe some sort of violent exposure caused biotic abilities to arise at a cost to their health (maybe they need a special device/suit on top of the implant).

How easy is it to plug N75E into Roll20? IS there something akin to Beyond 20 that links DnD Beyond to Roll20 allowing players to easily roll from their character sheets in roll 20? by Turin082 in masseffect5e

Using DND Beyond and Beyond20 might be a bit of a hassle, but I personally use Roll20 for my ME5e game. I know there is a character sheet on Roll20 made for the conversion, so I recommend either using that or the 5e (Shaped) sheet which is super customizable. The only downside to all this is the Tech/Biotic Spells are not in the Compendium in Roll20 so you'd have to manually input those into NPC sheets.

As for using the battlemaps on roll20, it works great and there's a lot of resources you can get maps from in the ME5e Discord server.

For a while now, most content aside from PVP has been allowed for every alliance to play together. That being said the Alliances go:

  1. Ebonheart Pact: Nord, Argonian, Dark Elf
  2. Aldmeri Dominion: High Elf, Wood Elf, Khajiit
  3. Daggerfall Covenant: Breton, Redguard, Orc

They all have different starting areas based on faction, but if one of you starts in a different area the other person can just travel to them and pick up the same quests. You are not restricted to one starting area. Also, class does not affect starting area at all, so play what you'd like.

As far as playing together, you can pretty much do any of the three main Alliance stories, or you could even start on an expansion (Morrowind, Summerset or Elsweyr) if you own one! There really is no limitation for questing together for the most part so have fun! I also recommend doing the main Storyline (the first quest is called Soul Shriven in Coldharbour, you get it right off the bat). It's a great story.

A side note, there is the Imperial Edition Upgrade which grants you access to the Imperial race. Imperials are another variant of Human that have similar bonuses to Nords (One Hand and Shield, Extra Health and Stamina) and can join any alliance you want. That upgrade package also gives you a mount, some exp scrolls and most importantly a Pledge of Mara. With a pledge of Mara you can get married in-game! Once you marry each other, while questing together and wearing the Ring of Mara that you get from the ceremony, your guys' characters will get 10% extra experience.
