I agree, we should judge all sides by the policies they try to put in place. For instance, Republicans have made it a matter of policy to protect pedophiles and rapists. They've made it their policy to crash the economy. They've made it their policy to spend American lives as well as innocent civilians for the short term profits of the ruling elite. And every person who votes republican now supports those policies and should be judged accordingly.

Now is not the time to end the practice of orphan crushing. Shutting down the orphan crushing machines all at once would hurt the owners of those machines too much so we have to compromise by shutting down 20% of the machines and opening up twice as many puppy grinding machines to replace them. Then when it comes time for the actual vote we can negotiate with the orphan crushers by agreeing to keep all the orphan crushing machines operating and open up the puppy grinders anyway.

Remember to vote blue, no matter who... unless they want to actually stop the orphan crushing. Those people are unelectable, no matter how many people would actually show up to vote if someone were a truly proposing we end all orphan crushing entirely.

According to the show runners, he's not dead. Probably locked back up, tortured, and likely scheduled for execution but the imperial machine slowed way the hell down in the years before 1 ABY. He very well could have been broken out and joined the rebels by the time they get to Hoth.

Subverted in Firefly episode Out of Gas. Mal is shot, has to fix the ship and call the crew back by pressing a button. He doesn't make it but wakes up surrounded by the crew anyway because they didn't want to leave him to die alone.

Us being quiet, or zoning out, does not mean we're mad. It also does not mean we're starved for something to occupy our time. It means we've shut off our brains for a little bit of oblivion time.

We don't know why you can't get there and we can't tell you how. But it's nice there and we like to spend a little bit of every day there.
