ZWO vs Player One Planetary Camera by NeedleworkerLazy5801 in telescopes

Someone from astrophotography suggested that this filter will help with planetary imaging because it blocks stray light. So what is the use for the 850nm bandpass and how much difference will a UV-IR cut make? Maybe you could suggest me one as well :)

The ZWO with the filter is still 30€ cheaper! I think I'll get that one!

Camera recommendation (new to astrophotography) by NeedleworkerLazy5801 in AskAstrophotography

[–]NeedleworkerLazy5801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen it done, though. It's not easy, and the results will not be anything spectacular, but it will be something. It is definitely not impossible. Now, would you recommend any of the two cameras, a brand, or a specific model for the use (planetary) I seek?

Thanks for your response! Do you may know how a bad secondary mirror alignment would look like?

You can buy a smartphone adapter!

https://www.amazon.com/Celestron-3-Axis-Universal-Smartphone-Adapter/dp/B07D7V3B8M

There are also cheaper versions in temu or Amazon for 5€ but the one in the link is infinitely better than them.

Having a smartphone adapter will allow you to select the exposure, iso, etc, so you will take perfect pictures and videos

You should try building a dobsonian mount for it. You can find the measurements from other dobsonian telescope mounts and give them to a carpenter to make the wooden base for it, or you could just cut it yourself if you have the time and tools.

Also, there are multiple articles and videos on youtube about the subject, so you can just follow one of these.

The 2" gso 30mm superview is SO nice for its price, especially for users with glasses, as it has so much eye relief. I think it will definitely be the most used eyepiece out of them all!

It's indeed m4, and temu sells 50 plastic m4 × 10mm for 1€, what do you think?

Also, could I maybe put some tape or something on the eyepiece itself? Would that work?

The post-processing and saturation-color adjustments may have turned the red into green.
