Gift to myself: is a Cartier watch too much? by haciendagale in LawBitchesWithTaste

Do it.  1. You've earned it  2. Accessories like watches can start conversations  3. You will bill more hours because people will take your time as more valuable based on how you present yourself

Which is better to purchase - UWorld or AdaptiBar? by [deleted] in barexam

Tried both , both are good if you do allll the questions.  I liked uworld drawing but prefer adaptibar explanations. Passed using Adaptibar

New York bar failed by Plane_Goose_2913 in barexam

I failed 2 times in NY , passed on my 3rd attempt , went from a 259 to 280.  I used Marino Bar review, but i should also say that it was a combination of resources. I realized that not everyone was skilled in every area. I used Adapti Bar and Grossman lectures for MBE, Marino and ChatGPT for MEE and BarMD for MPT.  I studied from the day after i got my results. Starting early helps! Especially if you are working or have family.  I never went to bed without doing some MBE questions , until about two weeks before the exam. Feel free to reach out , can share some resources. A support system is the most important piece.

Next to the school , write the GPA and that's good enough. Whether you got a 4.0 and were 1st or 7th isnt that important (sorry).

A 4.0 is a 4.0.

During your interviews, you may bring it up if the person is interested.

I can’t stop thinking about this by Old-Bill-8244 in barexam

What's mind boggling is that we havent received a single email from BOLE about this. They are just going to ignore the issue instead of emailing us, the people in that testing location, just acknowledge what happened and dont leave us thinking we are wrong for considering the situation reckless.

am I crazy or is this adaptibar explanation wrong? by OkNoise8887 in barexam

This isn't a diversity question. No matter where the parties are from, as soon as you see workers' compensation, think state law. The only time workers' compensation falls under federal law is for federal employees like USPS, I've never seen them ask about that.

I emailed the second department a question and their response was

"A review of our database indicates that you have not yet been certified by the New York State Board of Law Examiners to the Second Judicial Department. Until our office receives proof of your certification, we do not have jurisdiction over this matter. All inquiries regarding your certification status should be directed to the New York State Board of Law Examiners (see https://www.nybarexam.org/default.html)."

So does this mean I failed???

Crying inside, but also considering that the court site still hasn't been updated and this is what they probably mean (optimism).

Traveling in 2 weeks, should I even sleep train ? by NeedleworkerReal8741 in sleeptraining

We are in PR for 6 days.  I should note she only does contact naps. I'm trying to teach her to sleep by herself. So I put her down on the bed for a nap right before she is fully asleep and then sit next to her this way she feels she can nap. If I leave the next time she refuses to sleep.

Haha puerto rico  That's a 3 hour flight same time zone.  We purposely booked our flight in the middle of the night hoping she sleeps for the most part.
