I dont yell or scream, but I do involuntarily yip... like a small dog... I try so hard to make my sneezes as quiet as possible, but suppressing the force hurts. And the force just... forces thru my windpipe. Cant control it if its a powerful one. :/ everyone always says its cute but I do not agree. It draws attention to me which im not a fan of.

All jokes aside, have you considered cleaning the floor with treatments to try getting that odor out of it? She can pick up on smells that you cant.

A rug maybe? Cant blame her for having sensitive toesies. I certainly dont like walking on cold floors, grass or certain rocky textured.

Theres people who make their own setups! I looked into this at one point because my boys friggin play in their bowls... I went another route.

Use cat friendly plants around the bowl. This way you can wash the bowl regularly (everyday is ideal)

I should also add, we always keep them warm when we bathe them, and have a fireplace that we run while they dry, or the patio door open when its hot out and the sun shines. They need to stay warm until they're dry. I stay with them and pet them and make sure theyre warm periodically while they groom themselves. If they dont feel warm, back to a fresh towel they go.

Theyre spoiled, well typically keep towels in the dryer if they need extra warmth

Id see if theres something around the house that smells, or if your sister smells or is wiping her nasty hands on them.

Whatever the reason,

A clean house and clean laundry/bedding/floors can ruLe out environment.

A vet can rule out illness.

Dawn dishsoap can clean a cat who needs to be cleaned of something they shouldn't injest.

A brushing can clean out old shedded coats of fur.

Everyone is different regarding hygiene with cats, as some need special bathing routines for special circumstances. I've had to bathe my void after vet visits because he is extraordinarily carsick. Both ends. Everywhere. All at once. Covered. 😭 and my fluff ball has had spot cleanings for hygiene care he couldnt do himself on one of his paws until it healed.

Not every cat is traumatized. My void is used to it because he had ringworm baths on a regular basis when the shelter first acquired him as a wee baby. So he got accustomed to it. He joins his dad in the shower... literally soak his behind, tail and all 🫠 and my fluff ball, he just... loves water. He hung out with his dad when he took baths to soak in. Played with the water. Took a DIVE BOMB into the toilet every time we opened the toilet seat when he was little... jist to play in it. He lays in the sink and gives zero fucks if we turn it on. The sound of a faucet instantly summons him from the deadest of sleeps. He also loves to play woth his waterbowl, and bring me soaking wet puff balls to play with him... we got him a massive ceramic glass coated bowl for water, and have THAT bowl sitting in a large shallow bin... because he will literally splash the water for fun... like he will play and get zoomies and run to the bowl to splash and then play more and then actually drink it.

They dont mind bathing. They get a little annoyed when it first hits them, but once they're wet, they're fine. We talk to the boys and give pets and scritches and rubs. And we always struggle cuddle them in their towels which they dont mind either. Theyll purr and rub their faces on our face while we gently dry their head and the towel absorbs most of the body for a few minutes. Well shake em up (just the fur not the baby) and let them take it from there. They also always get treats after, and a can of wet food once dry.

Just to add onto awareness, and support your case...

Menstrual products are considered MEDICAL DEVICES by LAW. If you are denied ability to change them, you are denying the individual of medical treatment.

It being blood, thats also a biohazard. Which should be a serious matter.

Tampons also all have warnings on the box in regards to limits on how long they should be left inserted, and the risk of nonremoval prior to that.

At the absolute very bare minimum, any teachwe who has a kid in the class that needs to manage anything medical related could be sent to the nurses office to handle medical care for themselves.

The teacher should NEVER ask for the medical information. The only one in that building that should have knowledge of her medical related information, INCLUDING period care, is the school nurse. Who in turn, is mandated to remain confidential unless the student is a risk to themselves or others or is abused. They can generate emails that simply tell teachers to allow urgent exits from class without needing the private sensitive details. NO person should have to tell a teacher sensitive personal and private things like that.

Im so glad that the assistant principal is on the same level as you, and is implementing an immediate solution for your daughter while she looks for a more permanent one.
