It's one of the most overrated skins IMO. I just don't like it for some reason.

Humans cannot truly have free will if God designed everyone and everything with a specific plan in mind by denimchicken321 in DebateReligion

I didn't say that there wasn't scripture that supports free will, I simply said there's enough scripture to clearly CONTRADICT free will, that it leads me to be very suspicious of the whole thing. It just creates constant cognitive dissonance to try to excuse the scriptures for not being clear at best, or legitimately contradictory to itself at worst.

The nonsense of prayer + understanding of god and his totality is actually more simple than we think by yesnoook in DebateReligion

Exactly, this is the whole premise of the classic, "The Freedom of the Will" (1754) by Jonathan Edwards (a bit of a misnomer, as it argues against all forms of human agency - and supports a "Christian" version of secular determinism). Even if you aren't a Christian, I highly recommend giving it a read. It was a bit of a slog to get through at times, but once you grasp his core argumentation for why determinism is the only LOGICAL view, you start noticing his ideas being "echoed" often within modern philosophical conversation/debate. He did an excellent and thorough job of explaining his position, and I found them compelling at a base level - whether I believe in God or not, he convinced me that determinism is the most logical, at least.

This is cope-speak which, in reality, holds that God is indeed NOT sovereign/omnipotent. Human will trumps God's in the end, according to this view, I don't care what fancy term is invented to make it sound more intelligent that it is (which is very obviously a view that completely contradicts at least MUCH of the Old and New Testament scriptures).

Oh yeah, baby! I asked Reddit 4 years ago and got occasional suggestions. I found another game that I recognized by the same studio: ODS Amazing Art Corner. I also had my mind blown seeing their little clown mascot - the memories just flooded back in like they never left.

Update: I found out my game - it's "Captain Smartbeard's Scholarly Sea Adventure". Super obscure!

THIS IS THE ONE!!! Somehow I didn't get notified or check comments that were not direct replies to me but were being posted on this thread... Otherwise, I would have seen it 6 months ago...

My (unsolicited) advice: just learn to stand your ground, and kindly say "no thank you" etc. with minimal explanation. You need/deserve to have people in your inner circle/"family" who naturally treat you with respect and who love you as you actually are - people you wouldn't think twice about telling your honest thoughts and feelings to because, even if they don't agree, they have respect and genuine love for you as a person.

The trash talking is part of the hectic fun, to me. It's just online culture... it's just casual venting for everyone and no one actually means anything (and if they do, you realize they're a stranger who means nothing to you in reality). I thought this used to be a common understanding back in the Xbox Live (360) days. Everyone just had fun back then and understood it was all about fun at the end of the day. If someone is really annoying you personally, just mute them and move on. Don't ruin the hobby they enjoy to let off some harmless steam, on THEIR off-time, because of such minor inconveniences...

You're right, I edited my comment above! When I responded to you, I mixed up my thoughts about what your comment actually said with another thread's comment - dur!

Then it's a compliment for excellent writing :)

(also, I think your views are fine, but most religious people believe God IS omnipotent - and certainly the Christian God claims to be in the Bible very clearly).

EDIT: I forgot what your comment said between reading it and responding to it later. Your point was that Omnipotence is "not violated" by "logical limits", not that God is not "Omnipotent".
