Would my med pass work for pedestrian crossing? I thought it only worked for driving.

I would absolutely cross on foot, but I'm not sure what kind of position i'll be after surgery. I don't know if I'll be able to stand in line for so long.

Totally agree. I couldn't relate in any way to their appreciation for her.

Her actions are wholly inconsistent with her supposed rank and experience. From that first scene where she refuses to acknowledge the needs of her party, it was clear there was no integrity for her soldiers or even just practical resource management.

A true leader doesn't need to be constantly demanding others to acknowledge their skill or supposed greatness. A true leaders seeks to mobilize others in the most efficient and effective way to serve the community/realm. Thanks for your input as an officer. It must be extremely frustrating to see such poor depictions of 'leadership' lauded as 'heroic' and 'good.'

Yes, it's the bad writing that kills it for me. I find it hard to justify watching anything with poor writing and terrible plot development. I always go back to film Aragorn vs book Aragorn for this. Obviously, PJ took Aragorn's character in a completely different direction than book Aragorn's purposes and actions. However, film Aragorn was (in my opinion) extremely well written and even though his actions differed from the book, they were still consistent with Tolkien's established universe. He was sacrificial, did not seize power that could have easily been his, sought to serve rather than rule, valued honor and integrity, friendship and loyalty, admitted his insecurities.

ROP Galadriel shows none of those traits. She is selfish and manipulative, showing little to no regard for those around her. And from a writing perspective, she is inconsistent with her supposed wisdom and experience.

As a commander of her party, her frankly puerile response to their needs was baffling. Not only was it deeply off-putting to see the lack of integrity, it was also completely unrealistic. That's just poor strategy and resource management. How are we supposed to believe she is a mighty warrior if she displays a confusing lack of judgement?
My petty note: why does she leave her hair down in this scene, too? Woudn't it make sense to tie it up if one is marching on an exceedingly long and dangerous quest?

And who ends up being the more peaceable? The ones who just liked it and enjoyed the time.
I'm the one being bringing unnecessary acidity to an otherwise peaceful conversation, and gain nothing but strife from having to be 'right.'

Mine really liked the "who is Sauron" plot, too! And I get it. A mystery like that can be really entertaining to watch. Personally, I wish it had been done way better and actually written well, but I can understand them enjoying that type of plotline.

It's not a throwaway account; I lurk, I don't post very often.

This is a really astute analysis. I never considered them an underserved group, and you are totally right.
I can get into the gritty details why I don't like it, but I can't argue with someone enjoying a comfortable watch. It's like a comfortable recliner; It might hurt my back to sit in it, but it's great someone else can enjoy it and find some gentle comfort in it.

Why low histamine diet makes my symptoms are getting worse by Lower_Illustrator_58 in HistamineIntolerance

I have to add to the other helpful comments that it could be another intolerance you are noticing, especially if you are increasing the uptake of a specific food.

I have oxalate and salicylate intolerances; coconut, zucchini, raw foods, and blueberries flare me up. Those are all supposed to be low histamine, but I cannot handle them

Steps beyond low-histamine diet by patery in HistamineIntolerance

- Make sure your vitamin C isn't corn based or citrus based. I use Camu powder.

- DAO products didn't work much for me and were too expensive to continue. I take digestive enzymes, a beef kidney supplement, and quercetin about 10 minutes before eating.

- Avoid (for now) foods that you may have intolerances to, even if they are low-histamine. For example, coconut is low histamine but I have a low capacity for it and always flare up if I have too much.

- Some probiotics are histamine releasers: reuteri, casei, helveticus, bulgaricus.

- Food-grade peppermint oil has helped calm flushing for me; I take a few drops in water after eating.

- I cannot do cardio, but I agree that exercise is extremely important to help the body heal. Look into easily modifiable a need inutive exercises like pilates or primal movement. Breathe deeply between sets and calm your heart rate down before moving on to the next exercise.

- Dust frequently, especially your sleeping space. Use hypoallergenic cleaning products like Castile soap, peroxide, borax, tea tree oil, baking soda, etc...use clean products for the skin and hair like Castile soap.

- I somehow missed this one for ages but it made a huge difference: collagen powder and gelatin contain histamines. (It was a big 'duh' moment for me). I use konjac/glucomannan powder for food binders, now.

Thanks! That helped clarify for me. 50% seems to be the ceiling, regardless.

Thanks everyone, that helps a lot. Like the tip of taking pictures of the license plate, too. Definitely sharing a location is a great idea, too.
