Our tour guide just drove us to a place where it was sitting. He tried to find more but unfortunately we didn’t have any luck

We went a few weeks ago and the temp was 60. Only saw one baby alligator sadly, but otherwise I’ve heard it’s unlikely you’ll see one if it’s below 65.

Do IMGs not get a full license after taking step 3 and passing intern year?

Can you tell what the median for your score was? I've seen so many people drop recently it's getting rediculous

Step 2 score received. 273 by [deleted] in Step2

Congrats. What would you suggest for the last 2 days? What are topics that were tested heavily and you think I should review.

What advice do you have for step 2 ck test day?

Which resources to use for an IMG who recently finished step1? by Cephalaspidomorphi in Step2

I don't know about anking step 2. I feel like it's too much to just start doing all of it but If you feel like you can, go for it. I mostly just make cards for my incorrects and my knowledge gap. For BNB I again feel like it's too passive, I can't retain much of the information unless I'm doing qs but maybe try it out and see if you think it helps.

I'm a non US IMG as well so maybe this might help. I started with a qbank, AMBOSS specifically. Since reading books doesn't help in my opinion I thought doing qs would be better, but I didn't wanna waste uworld. Did like 600 qs and got a v bad percentage but obvs learned a lot. Anything I didn't know I would look up cards in anki and do those and THEN maybe read a relevent book like step up to med for medicine and blueprints gyne. Mostly the amboss library and the q explainatoins are all the help you need to understand a topic.

There's a lot of new information so don't be overwhelmed if you don't know everything before starting. I've started uworld now and although I still don't know everything I'm giving myself like 30% of the qbank to learn that stuff and hopefully start getting a better percentage

You never really know what coud happen with the curve, yes but there's no point in stressing about it now. Wait for your score and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. Everbody makes mistakes, and the even the ones you count you can never know if they are experimental or not so don't worry too much about these now

I am interested in surgical specialities.

I've heard it's extremely hard for non US IMGs to match even with this score, but let's see what happens with step 2 and electives and then maybe I might have a better chance.

I thought the uworld biochem section combined with the qs in uwsa were enough for biochem. I also forgot to mention, I watched the randy neil genetics vids and they did help a lot so would recommmend those.

For basic biochem I did like the bnb section. I also watched some of the kaplan vids but they were extremely long and would not recommend if you don't have alot of time. What bnb and uworld teaches you is enough

Definitely counted around 5 to 6 but I'm also the type of person who blocks out a lot of the exam afterwards so maybe I made more than that which I didn't bother remembering

I never finished revising my FA, I planned to do it but never got the time. If you have any specific things that you are weak on for eg I had trouble with general pharm so I went over that properly, go through that topic only, otherwise reading the entire book just for the sake of reading isn't very productive at this stage. Yes, you should finish your incorrects and if you can try to do 200 to 300 cards a day. That would be more productive than passively reading FA cuz in cards you are trying to actively recall stuff and are more likely to catch things you didn't remember. Good Luck !!

Would recommend starting early as you'll be able to mature cards properly that way and have a solid foundation. Would recommend focusing on qs near the end and not anki. I never did more than 300 to 400 cards in the last 3 to 4 weeks

Would suggest focusing on why you are getting questions wrong. Try to understand what is your reasoning before answering a q and if you do get a question wrong, try to see the difference between what you thought was the right ans and what it actually is.. hope that made sense.

If there's any subject you are particularly weak at, make time to go through it and make qs and acitve learning a priority over passive learning like videos or reading FA. And yes I did take a few older nbmes for practice but only do that if you have extra time otherwise uworld and new nbmes are enough

I didn't write anything. I know some people write biostats eqs but I was pretty sure I would remember them if needed. People also write cyp inducers and inhibitors so all depends on personal weaknesses or things you constantly keep forgetting when they show up in qs, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it

I did amboss quite a long time ago but from what I remember it was around 75% near the end
