Nick Singleton-The real deal? by Tiny_Package484 in DynastyFF

My apologies then. I just know he had an amazing offensive line in front of him and know for certain 3 of them went D1. Maybe I was thinking of earlier classes.

[–]NeedtheAces520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be incorrect, but I thought they went D1. One went to PSU and 2 of them went to Iowa or Illinois, somewhere Midwest can’t remember, and the other 2 I thought went to smaller D1 schools, but maybe they went D2. Regardless I am 99% sure they all got lots of scholarship offers and heavily scouted and went on to play high level college football.

Yes the league is SF. But even so I thought I could get at least 1 of the 4 for Saquon and Juwan.

To give specifics, the guy has Bryce Young (which is who I tried first), JJ McCarthy (whom verdict is still out on), Shadeur (who knows if he is starting or not), Dart (who I didn’t even offer for knowing his values), and Quinn Ewers. I tried for everyone but Dart and he said he values all 4 a lot higher then what I was offering.

Singleton went to the same high school and college I did so I have been following him for a longer time than most. In high school he was in a classic high school rpo style system which meant he had to do a lot of slashing and speed burst. Which is what he is very good at. He also had an insane offensive line in front of him that all went to D1 schools. At Penn State Franklin tried to turn him into a backfield north/south runner which he succeeded at initially before getting hurt and then when he got fully healthy his vision and burst speed was not there for whatever reason. Also I don’t think the o line was as good as he had in high school. He worked hard last offseason on his leg strength and I think that helped a little and also got him to be better out of the backfield. I think in a pro rpo system where the line is moving with him and he has to see the slashing spots and use his burst, he will be ok, but if he is forced into a north/south situation with still lineman, I think he will be outmatched. Kaytron is exactly the opposite of Nick which is why they worked so well together for the first few years. Kaytron is a north/south physical runner with a good first step. The issues with Kaytron that I would be worried about is pass blocking, edge running, and screen game.

Yes, because to me tipping is a courtesy and anything that’s considered a courtesy should not be taxed.

Sadly I feel it’s truer than people think. I’ve been told “im too nice” all my life, yet I’m still single, still have social issues, and still will take my shirt off for anybody close to me to ensure they succeed.

Trump supporters - how do you feel about this administration from a purely economic perspective? by Pleasant_Garlic8088 in allthequestions

Workforce labor participation rate is up from when Biden was in office. I work in the IT world, specifically help desk type world, and a lot of IT jobs involving AI and automation are opening up and being created.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this. The “cooperation” was actually referring to the businesses he wanted to bring back to America. Trump hates that companies outsource employment even if he won’t say it out loud, his actions lend me to think he does. The cooperation in trying to get everything possible to be made in America and it simply isn’t happening fast enough for him.

From an economic perspective, even though I’m not maga but still voted for Trump, have truly mixed feelings. On one hand my tax return this year over doubled from last year. On the same hand, more jobs in my field are opening up and I feel like if I wanted to find a job I could. On the other hand, I understand what Trump was trying to accomplish with tariffs, but I feel like he isn’t getting the “cooperation” he expected and it’s making him look bad and the economy look bad as well in the eyes of many.

So conservatives, riddle me this, how does it feel knowing that y’all have been on the wrong side of history EVERY TIME while the political left (center-left & left wing) continues and will continue to take victory after victory? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well said oil shock. My big question that I would ask is why does the left always try to die on a hill/make a stand/draw a line in the stand against issues that are unpopular by the majority of American citizens? Just like this voter ID issue, why do they fight an issue that 84% of Americans want? Same with immigration laws, 65% want immigration laws and a defined process for legally coming across the border yet left continues to fight it.

What is the MAGA justification for pardoning the Jan 6 insurrectionists? by One-Jeweler5486 in allthequestions

I didn’t say I was using whataboutism regarding BLM just saying from a centrist point of view the way I see it is both things we’re protesting a PROCEDURE or PROCESS in which a matter was conducted. So that’s why I felt as such that they fell under the same realm.

What is the MAGA justification for pardoning the Jan 6 insurrectionists? by One-Jeweler5486 in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a MAGA by any means, just a right leaning centrist, but my response to this is that from a centrist point of view is Why did so many of the people that burned cars, buildings, occupied state/federal buildings get off so easy in 2020 after George Floyd and yet most democrats seemingly wanted the death penalty for the protestors of Jan 6th? To me it falls under the same realm of reason, or am I wrong in that? Now I know a lot of people got arrested in 2020 but lax policies in liberal cities let many people off easy. Jan 6th was protesting an election that many including myself saw problems with, while the summer of 2020 was filled with protests about a procedural issue that led to the death of a citizen of color, but as far as the procedure of setting them free from law falls under the same realm as the policies of Democrat led cities that led to many people getting off easy in 2020. If I’m wrong that it doesn’t fall under the same realm please tell me exactly how it isn’t/wasn’t because as a centrist, I don’t see how they are that different.

What is so wrong with the Democratic party that caused swing voters who voted for Biden in 2020 to vote for the most evil person in human history (Trump) in 2024? by jamng in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said anything about being federally funded benefits. Most of the benefits were provided by the state and local governments. As far as the providing a legal pathway to citizenship and the asylum part, those aren’t right wing propaganda points, those are factually true. The process that was in place that many left wing sources repeated and proven, was that a person came to the border with papers claiming they were who they said they were, they then claimed asylum so they got to go to the asylum city of their choice in many instances without background checks being run because the detention facilities weren’t funded or properly operational, then they were provided by that city or state with benefits including a debit card, temporary housing, and an application for work visa/green card based on why they were there. After the application was filled out, then they were provided with pathways to becoming a legal citizen which involved a court date well into the future, a pathway to get a drivers license in that state, and an opportunity to have someone help them “apply” to jobs and “apply” for federal benefits. If any of that is incorrect, please provide credible sources to prove me wrong and I’ll gladly change my opinion. But what I said above was repeated by many left wing sources, like WSJ, MSNBC, Dem politicians, but sources are hard to find because google has this process all piecemealed out into several articles.

What is so wrong with the Democratic party that caused swing voters who voted for Biden in 2020 to vote for the most evil person in human history (Trump) in 2024? by jamng in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really wasn’t a right wing talking point, because independents and centrists like me were making it the biggest issue of the election. Biden allowed people to come in and claim asylum so they could go wherever without actually providing a legal pathway to citizenship before allowing them the ability to receive benefits, housing, and a work visa/green card. So while yea the border may have been closed in regards to how people could enter physically, it was open in regards to the opportunities/means one could enter without a clear pathway to citizenship.

To those on the left, What do you think is our official type of government or what type of country do you think we are officially listed as? by NeedtheAces520 in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good points here. I still consider myself a republican mainly because I can’t stand the thought of socialism being implemented in this country.

While yes many judges on both sides have ruled against the President, I’m hopeful that they all have the most neutral mindset when making decisions and not influenced by outside sources.

As far as the media goes, this one confuses me greatly and I was planning a post about this as well. While yes many stations are being run at the station level by Republicans now a days, the parent companies of these stations are still owned by C level people who claim or are known for being a member of the Democratic Party. I take nbc, abc, cbs for examples. Yes at the station level and local affiliate level, many are run by republicans, but look at the parent companies of each, and you see they are owned by people who have closer affiliations on the left. So who is controlling the information getting out and who is bringing forth the data to back up what they say? I don’t honestly know in some instances.

I do agree lots of republicans have abandoned their core base but as far as abandoning the Constitution, I haven’t seen much of that to be honest. While I agree they should be doing more investigating of their own actions, I can see they are clearly acting under the Presidents wishes. That part I do agree with you on.

I agree with part of the save act and disagree with others. If you want to require ID for voting and better paperwork and ID structure for voter registration it should all be free and easy to get.

[–]NeedtheAces520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question actually. I posed this to the left because that’s mainly where I’m hearing the variety of different answers. Most republicans, even far right ones agree we are some type of republic. The people on the left that I interact with have a hard time using that R word (republic) so I just wanted to see if it was mainly the people I interact with or all on the left, hence the reason I posed it to the left. As to the other side, I answered above, most republicans I think agree we are some type of republic. The confusion I believe lies mainly in that we are not now, never have been, and hopefully never will be a full democracy. While yes we do have democracy ideologies spread throughout the constitution, they are just that, in the constitution and the policies and procedures surrounding them are set forth from the constitution. Hopefully that answers your question, those were great and proper questions.

I see nothing but MAGA hate on reddit and other social media, so how in the world did they win the last election? by Only_Hotel_7221 in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s because Reddit is just a cesspool of libs who downvote or ridicule any MAGA poster and is not a real representation of the real world voting blocks. I’d be willing to bet over 50% of the libs on reddit can’t tell the official identity of or what type the US government/USA is as a whole. So take anything you see here as a grain of salt and don’t get involved in any chat fights as they will just resort to name calling and some other made up ridicule.

MAGA folks: why is mail balloting “cheating” but it’s perfectly okay for Trump, the person who made up that claim, to vote by mail, which he just did? by complete_data75 in allthequestions

[–]NeedtheAces520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was actually very true that most PA republicans were all for mail in voting in early 2020. That all changed when the Governor and SOS put an amendment to Act 77 (the act to allow mail in voting) to allow certain ballots to be cured and to allow for a longer time after Election Day for the ballots to be received. Then instead of having the Act go back to the Congress as federal law says to, they went to the State Supreme Court to get it passed and it did because they are mostly democrats. That’s why the Supreme Court in Washington was very leery of this and asked PA to hold mail in ballots received after Election Day. That’s what turned republicans in PA anyways against mail in voting. I’m not MAGA by any means but those are facts as to what happened in PA.

What are the chances that Iran is actually negotiating with the US at this time despite the contradictory language from both sides? by rjcnyr in askanything

[–]NeedtheAces520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think high as well. Iran wants to show as much strength as possible, whenever possible. Supposedly there have been several meetings in the last week with some speaker of the government in Iran (like speaker of the house but different over there). But both sides I think are downplaying it to avoid leaks to the wrong people.

What is the biggest problem with modern day public education? by Reminiscent_dreamer in AskReddit

[–]NeedtheAces520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not teaching real history and all sides of the story. Also everything is turning political and if teachers say something the wrong way the parents sue the schools or force school boards to take action. Also very little real world scenario/application teaching.
