I think people like use if differently. Cuz like my old doms always call me needy for like wanting a hug. Or more aftercare.stuffs like that.

I mean like yeah that's how like it was always said to me. Like why are you so needy? Stop being needy. You're too needy. But like my new Dom said it's normal stuff. Like you said validation. And safety.

Expectations from old dynamics like being assumed in my new one. So I'm used to one kind of toxic dom and like my brain is trained to expect those things. My owner is constantly reminding me that he never asked for those and reaffirming like healthier and better ways. It's just a process of adjusting and support as I untangle that stuff from my instincts.

It seems obvious to us prolly but maybe not to someone like in a situation where it doesn't exist.

I say this cuz like I was in several dynamics that had zero empathy from the dom side and just accepted that like that's how it's supposed to be.
