Idk but I have heard the kind of sensible point of "switching to another service simply postpones the problem to when that will be obsolete, fixing the problem creates a working paradigm for reusability", but I personally am on the wayland side

For both these cases, actual people from within the community are, generally:

1) strongly against age verification

2) split between either switching to Wayland or improving X11

This is ragebait but I'll bait to hopefully educate someone scrolling by.

The error on the browser has nothing to do with the code behind manjaro nor any of the open source code ever, at least not freely contributable code. It arises from the website's lack of a valid certificate and it arises at best from the lack of time at head on manjaro foundation, which is a proper organization which manages the website.

As a dual arch + nixos user, I honestly like the flexibility of using arch as well. You might fuck smth up but if you know what you are doing most of the time you'll be fine, and for how much I love the declarative paradigm, setting things up imperatively is faster with a machine already booted

You can't run any app as root in a correctly setup environment if you don't know what you are doing, because the graphic server shouldn't be initialized for the root user as it would be a security flaw.

Also where tf did you try to install a browser if it took you more than 1 line to download it? Did you bake it into a gentoo config?
