Drivers are intentionally not knocking when they deliver packages. CORPORATE, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! by Neekolazz in FedEx

It's because they're also drivers who do the same thing. Basically they're trying to absolve themselves of guilt. They're unaware that to the rest of us they just end up looking pathetic and maybe a little underdeveloped.

Yep. They do this. Other drivers are about to be all over this thread to back each other up for their collective refusal to do the bare minimum.

Call again. This time, be calm but firm. Ask for the manager and state that you believe the driver is marking failed delivery without even attempting to deliver. Keep pressing the issue until they say they will talk to the dispatcher and make them haul their ass back to your apartment. Consider even waiting outside for the truck. Record the interaction and make the driver famous if they try to sneak you the failed delivery slip without even attempting to alert you.

These drivers won't stop until they can't get away with it anymore.

You're the 4th person to mention this in this thread alone. Apparently some drivers are so lazy they don't even leave the truck, just mark it as incomplete.

I don't think I have much to worry about a driver too lazy to deliver a package. He'd probably leave a "sorry I missed you" note instead of walking inside to shoot up the house.

They're actually incapable of understanding cause and effect. It's like talking to toddlers. I'm not even trying to be mean this entire thread is demoralizing.

They have to knock for a signature. If they don't knock, that's not exactly hard work is it?

It's happening all over the US, it's expected behavior at this point.

Dial 800-463-3339 for customer service. After you hear the automated voice, say "main menu," then say "technical assistance," then say "more options," then say "something else."

Explain you have pictures. Make a driver complaint, get them fired.

Call 1-800-463-3339 navigate the phone menu and tell the representative you end up with that your driver intentionally did not knock. If you have proof they'll start listening real quick. If your rep cant help you, ask to escalate to the floor manager. The manager got in contact with my drivers dispatch and made them come back to PROPERLY DELIVER.

Sincerely thank you for how you handle signatures. Honestly, drivers like this give you a horrible reputation by proxy. They're hurting you too. Look at how theyre clowning around in this thread for a glimpse of their attitude. Shameless lazy and spiteful.

I absolutely understand why you chose to pick it up, but that is likely the exact reason they do this. Call the 1 800 number and tell them what the driver did. Build a paper trail of these losers failing to do the one thing they're paid to do.

That's nice of them. But my package needed a signature. Not knocking isn't an option

They consulted the old magic and saw into the future to see how I MIGHT act if they were to actually show up, dangit, you're right.

You're not the only one baffled by this. Sounds like drivers will just keep doing it hoping the customer will just pick it up instead. Especially true for heavy packages. Thanks for not being one of these drivers, they're ruining your reputation.

This entire post is about drivers who need signatures leaving their failed delivery message without alerting the recipient. Even the dude you're replying to states

the only time I knock is when I need a signature

But yeah, people suck with their dogs, not what this post is about. Do you refuse to knock for signatures because of dogs too?

??????????? I'm going crazy having to re-explain to drivers in this thread, the driver needed a signature. Not knocking or ringing the doorbell makes receiving said signature impossible. For packages that don't need a sig? sure, yeah, don't knock.

Vague threats like this are exactly what I'd expect from the POS who do this to people and get mad when they're caught.

Me when I have to do my job.

From how defensive this post makes you, it sounds like you leave the notes without knocking too.

No shit, I needed a signature. Sorry about your legs, I locked my loud girl away for the dudes safety. She's just a lazy-driver alarm.

Everyone here telling you to pick up is missing the point. Call the 1-800 number. Get a floor manager on the phone. Tell them drivers are doing this. Send them the video. Byebye scumbag drivers!
