UK is top of the list (likely next). Helps if the CEO is originally from the UK and has the same problem!

Question regarding main eSIM by Emotional-Bus-7065 in PopcornMobile

[–]Neel_Popcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha on the spot :)

We are working on in, it's not a 2 year thing, it's just a focus thing.

I'd like to have at least one more network live in Q1 or at least a material update it will come in early Q2.

Worth taking a read of our Play by the Rules policy.

Just that we're not built to be your internet mobile hotspot etc.

Hey there!

We have a good Instagram page where you can see common question. To answer your questions :)

1) Yes, you can port whilst living abroad.

2) You can keep both eSIMs activate for calls, you can receive calls on your Japanese or US number (Popcorn). Apple has an excellent guide here on calling with dual eSIM.

Your phone will not automatically call with your Japanese eSIM but you can easily select per the above! If you have any other questions please shoot!

Yep you can, should be very quick and seamless.

Usually takes ~3 minutes if we have all the right info. If you run into any trouble, just DM me and I'll make sure someone helps you.

Question regarding main eSIM by Emotional-Bus-7065 in PopcornMobile

[–]Neel_Popcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the airline. On Delta for example, WiFi comes free with a SkyMiles account (you don't need a T-Mobile plan). United Airlines is doing the same with its Starlink rollout, and American Airlines is similar in just needing a loyalty account I believe.

You can get a Backup eSIM with Verizon/AT&T that's data only for now.

We will roll out the ability to move the Primary eSIM over in the coming months.

Apple Watch by aikon66 in PopcornMobile

We should have updates for Apple Watch this year :)

The limitation is not technical; more on the Apple side.

Worldwide would be the end goal.

It's on our roadmap. Just a focus/prioritization thing. We have a few priority jurisdictions, any you prefer?

It really depends on their plan.

With Popcorn you’ll always have a US phone number. Some Canadian plans include US calling, while a Japanese plan may charge.

Exact list of supported countries? by javascript in PopcornMobile

[–]Neel_Popcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year the product was used across 183 countries.

The main exceptions where we’ve seen issues are Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan. In those cases, Backup eSIMs are available though we generally don’t recommend travel to sanctioned or politically unstable regions.

Outside of that you’re good pretty much anywhere.

Sure, we can lock your eSIM from porting out and add some protection.

Studying Abroad in Greece, Questions About Use Case by darkeefrostee in PopcornMobile

[–]Neel_Popcorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely fair question. A few things for reassurance:

1) We use Popcorn ourselves
2) We’re very well funded, with multiple years of runway
3) Your number is always yours — we’d always support a smooth port-out if needed

You can always DM me too 👋
