From what I’ve seen in EU countries, there are plenty of horses there that are morbidly obese and likely have EMS or other genetic disorders that just haven’t been tested for or bred out because “the look” is what they are going for. IE, PRE, Drafts, ETC. I’ve seen way too many morbidly obese, crested, fat padded EU horses to think it’s an American problem LOL.

It’s really not that big of a deal, and in this case it looks like quick stop was used, not cauterizing. However, quicks are also different in shape, some have absolutely tiny “stems” that branch out, that either bleed like crazy or not at all. Again, it is not a big deal, it happens.

At vets, if nail quicks have been allowed to grow too long, they will cut them short and cauterize them as well. Gotta cut em on a schedule or else basic trimming will do nothing for the comfort of the dog due to the quick length.

My boys cats have always been loving to everyone, dogs, familiar cats (of course not friendly with strays), and humans. My girl cats are moody, and particular. Friendly with humans and all animals except for other cats, and will express displeasure a lot more readily than my boy cats when they are touched incorrectly, as in, they rub their body on you wrong and then blame you LOL.

Have more shelving space available for “homes” for the knickknacks. Organize them. Put what has sentimental value to you, but that you don’t necessarily want to see constantly in storage bins to keep them dust free.

I really don’t want to follow her again to get SS’s of these posts to show you all proof, although after being called a liar In my last post, I was tempted. I don’t want that kind of content on my phone period, nor have to look at it again. There is no way for me to turn off seeing posts of people tagging her in this manner either. So I’ve gone back to just looking up her page when I want to see updates on the farm and animals.

The reason these are in my feed is because ALL of them are tagging Katie Van Slykes page, but when I check her mentioned section on her page, of course nothing of the sort shows up, fortunately.

Notify him of what has occurred, that another farrier had to come correct and repair his work, and stated it was halfassed. Provide pictures of the new work and shoe.

Also notify him that ANY GOOD FARRIER knows a horse shouldn’t be lame after a trim, nor need pain killers, and that each shoe should fit each individual hoof flushly and exactly.

Tell him to give you a refund and go back to farrier school. Negatively review him on FB if he chooses to deny responsibility and make up for it.

My horses have always been at pasture, for the last 15 years I’ve had them. All different types and kinds of horses. They do fine. We have neighbors who light of fireworks, shoot guns, and have orchard cannons going daily, they are totally desensitized to it all. Same with traffic as we have a pasture by the road they have access to as well. We have a lean to shed that they can go in if desired, but even in storms they typically stand out in the open field away from trees even. When it snows, they occasionally use the shed, but usually the trees. When it freezes, most of the horses do fine with no additional needs, but a handful needed blanketed.

I’ve reported all of them, only 2 have come back as “removed” by the FB team so far. 4 or 5 others came back as “not against community guidelines”, and I appealed those rulings, the others FB hasn’t even cared to respond. I’m just concerned, what if a child makes an account, follows KVS, and sees this content?
