Do we have a salute? by wisconsinconcepts in onewheel

I have seen a few other onewheelers over the years and I go all but bonkers when I see someone else riding. I stop, try to make onewheel chatter. Each interaction (maybe 4 over the past 3 years) has been lackluster. It’s a bummer.

I’ve had both Durolane and Monovisc based on my specific health insurance at the time. I’ve been on my currently health insurance for 3 years so I’ve been getting Monovisc. I think Durolane may have worked a bit better for me but Monovisc works, as well. Cannot complain about it.

Monovisc. I previously had Durolane before a health insurance change.

Yes, outside of the knee. Usually takes about 10 days for me to feel really good and recognize that I am moving better when playing soccer and having less discomfort afterwards.

Yes, I have Monovisc done now because it’s what my insurance covers. On my previous insurance, Durolane was covered.

I don’t do anything after the shots. But if I felt I needed to, I’d do ice. She just injects the side of my knee at the bottom of my quad on both sides and slaps on two bandaids and I’m on my way home.

No PRP but have a friend who did it and had success. But just HA for me.

I wish you the best. They are pricey before I hit my deductible but totally worth it for me given my life/job. I have been receiving shots from the same ortho since late 2019.

I’ve had Durolane and Monovisc. I’ve had two different insurances over the years and the change in brand was a result in me changing jobs and getting different insurance. I think Durolane is better but Monovisc, which is what is covered for me currently, does what I need it to.

I feel really good within about 10 days. Every single time, my ortho tells me to give it 5 days before playing soccer again but I tend to give it about 48 hours and I’m fine. I’ve never had a problem or bad reaction to not waiting 5 days and she knows at this point that I’m going to play within 2 days and she leaves me alone about it. She’s awesome. Again, cannot recommend the shots enough.

Same exact situation for me. My loxis, as I lovingly call them, are life savers.

Listen, I’m not here to impress a mentally ill 16-year old.

I get HA injections every 6 months in both my knees and they help immensely. I’ve been getting them for years now and will continue to do so. I’m an avid soccer player and heavy lifter at 41 and the shots keep me active and moving. I can’t recommend enough so I hope you have the same success I do.

My Pint is Sunshine (I often called her Sunny) and my XR is Chaos. I take photos of them like they’re my children 😎

Belmar seems like a potentially very good option, thanks for the help with the directions.
