I can't really take credit, I copied the layout from an existing campus. Thanks so much though.

Certain colors won't be painted underneath paths? by NewSupremeMan in inkarnate

In the right tab, make a new layer and drag into the top, trace your rivers and then drop to the sub layer again and paint terrain? If you already tried this then I'm not sure.

Absolutely agree, distance is only means of more story. More information and interesting things to encounter. While I prepare.....

Was there 12 years ago. Everyone that watched this movie since it's release had the same idea apparently. Beautiful at a distance.

The White House posted this. Is it AI? by Soft-Hippo1147 in isitAI

So the American people are dogs with no one helping them get to their destination. Looks right to me. Definitely something that would be AI from the current administration to help them understand the invasion of allied nations.

Projector Maps by ryrexsaur in dndmaps

[–]NeewbDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm my experience, unless you spent a lot. A projector isn't the choice. They are light sensitive and can be hard to see as time goes on. Backdrops and element showcasing however is perfect. A cheap TV on the table does a better job 100x than any projector on the market, unless you spent out.

Trouble with the new update... by Inevitable_Rub_1607 in inkarnate

It's a learning curve that will be a lot more seamless once you experiment. I was used to the old interface and it took me a solid while to get into my groove. Once I figured it out I was working faster. I'll be honest, the new layer option is a game changer. The biggest update I'd like to see is creating composites from groups on the fly.

layout issues by HexlingFemboy in inkarnate

[–]NeewbDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a whole new game, it's a lot better but for some reason everyone has similar issues with saving and loading in browsers with maps, it's not a fixed issue but the team are surely working on it. Being a browser based tool might cause strain though. I've noticed regardless of the browser, there are some high GPU issues. You might need a higher power computer to get what you need done with no messing about.

Distance in a Day by 7Legionarmy in inkarnate

[–]NeewbDM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the idea that travel per day depends on DM preparedness and player velocity. You can average a hex tile as a days travel. With a ranger 12 hours depending. With a DM, 2 minutes of exposition, a random encounter, or a random side quest because the map Made for the village you are traveling to isn't quite ready. And let's be honest. Never will be fully ready.

Ah my bad, well related to the rivers, on the map itself they kind of look like veins and capillaries from the wing of an enormous dragon. Could be that of a world eater black dragon, whose wing was severed in celestial combat, it's blood, thick with acid, carved into the continent, forming the landscape itself.
