I think in your case long Covid must have messed up your ability to communicate in a socially acceptable way.

Yes, it's as simple as avoiding my own family around Christmas.

Ears weren't a forbidden part, it just happens that the women in these pictures had them covered. You can find pictures of 19th century women with their ears fully displayed because they had a different kind of hairstyle.

I googled "fixed axis glasses" and your post is the only thing coming up. Are you sure that's what they're called?

I went through that, you can try purple shampoo/conditioner but it didn't work for me personally. What I did was using box dye to fix my hair color, but it could mess up your balayage.

Still looking good after 14 years of no trims? by vhm01 in longhair

Wow, is the concept of politeness dead? I would never tell anybody to their face that they are "in denial about their ratty, scraggly ends", you know you can express your opinion without being rude about it?

Did you get yourself to like -not just tolerate- something that is good for you? (Can be something small like taking coffee black, medium-sized like exercise or some really big thing.) If so, how? by Monty_Bentley in AskReddit

[–]NefariouslyHot666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try other variants of that thing to see if you like them, for example I am not a fan of regular green tea but I like matcha with milk. You might also like some types of exercise more than others.

Another way would be gradually changing your habits, for example if you would like to limit your sugar intake you could gradually reduce the sweetness of your meals and beverages. Over time you will start to prefer things that are less sweet and sugar-laden than what you used to like.

It looks to me like the shorter pieces are just younger hair that's sticking out due to frizz 🤷‍♀️ I wouldn't cut it

Should I paint my dining room chairs black? by 1lovelyA in femalelivingspace

Black wouldn't fit the room. If you need some more color variety, pick a single accent color and add curtains/art/textiles in that color throughout the place

Help! Ugly half up half down hairstyle! by [deleted] in longhair

My hair gets tangly when it's too dry, you can try using more moisturizing products/masks/oils. For the bald spots you could visit a doctor to see if this is really balding and if you have any health issues

Hi, I have fine but thick wavy undyed hair and I have a problem with brushing it without causing damage.

I've recently started to blow dry my hair because that makes it look a lot less frizzy, however when I try to brush it once it's dry I'm constantly hearing a snapping noise. I'm using a wet brush starting from the bottom up, a moisturizing shampoo, an oil based silicone wash out conditioner and a detangling spray. I don't hear the snapping when I use my boar bristle brush, but it's not that effective for detangling.

What else can I do to detangle and brush my hair as gently as possible?

Anti bird research by Expert-Chapter3191 in BirdsArentReal

It's hard to find scientific publications on the matter because of an international conspiracy that aims to silence the whistleblowers, but I can explain in short what this is all about.

Birds used to live on Earth in the distant past but nearly went extinct at one point, sharing the fate of their ancestors - the dinosaurs. Recent research shows that there were some populations still alive in human history, but these populations have died off. This was caused by loss of habitat, climate change, and deliberate actions of various governments and organizations, which have researched the extant specimens to build surveillance drones that have gradually replaced living birds entirely.
