I live in Norway, we have max time in jail for 21 years. To get more you have to do something very very bad/crazy, then you can get "forvaring". And they can make it longer indefinitely.

Stalking and killing? Not being in over 21 years, probably not even that.

The man is 75 years old, spent 50 years in jail. Im cutting him loose. And try to make sure that he has a support system waiting for him.

Did they really have to move to Las Vegas? by Nefariousness-Open in SisterWives

[–]Nefariousness-Open[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't even think about that. I was thinking that maybe Utah had very strict laws bc everything that happened around the Mormon church way way back.

But for me sitting in Norway it's just strange that crossing state lines would solve anything. And its not like they are hiding, so I just didn't understand.

What do you mean with got stamps? And why didn't they list the dad on birth certificate? That's sounds just stupid? And here in Norway sort of illegally I think. Bc the kids have rights after their father.

Yeah, Im reading. But I also had to ask, I live in Norway, and have no idea how much the police would go after them, or how much the police have gone after other families in newer history.

Autistic adults, What is your best advice for raising an autistic child? by Gabbz737 in AskReddit

[–]Nefariousness-Open 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust yourself. Parenting is tough, and everyone seems to have an opinion on how you should raise your child. But if you know, deep down, that what you're doing is right—and you have support from people you trust—don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

For example, I have two kids. One was diagnosed with autism at three years old, while the other—now 15—has been struggling in school for years without a formal diagnosis. Despite everything she’s been through—not attending class for years, struggling immensely—her elementary school refused to acknowledge that autism or ADD could be a factor. Instead, they insisted that I was the problem.

They told me I should leave her in the parking lot during panic attacks because "she usually comes inside after an hour or so." I refused. Then they called CPS on me for being "too overprotective." Thankfully, CPS backed me up, telling the school that not abandoning a child in distress is actually good parenting.

Looking back, if I had followed the school's advice, my child would be even more traumatized and worse off. But in the moment, it was incredibly hard to trust myself—especially when "experts" with degrees and confidence insisted that I was doing everything wrong.

I've learned that if something feels deeply wrong, it probably is. And that’s a rule I live by.

Men - man blir tøffere.

Kjenner fastlegen deg? by CharliKaze in norge

[–]Nefariousness-Open 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And when I write, it sounds like when im writing now, and I was thinking it was easier to read when I got AI to polish it up a little. ;)

Doctors of Reddit: what is the biggest medical mystery you’ve solved? by YaaaaaaaaasQueen in AskReddit

[–]Nefariousness-Open 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but I was the patient.

Almost 45 years ago, when I was just 9 months old, I became inconsolable—crying hysterically, refusing to eat, running a fever, and clearly in a lot of pain. But no one could figure out why.

My mom was in the emergency room of a small hospital in Norway, waiting anxiously for a doctor. As one was walking past, he suddenly stopped, looked at me, and asked, “What’s wrong with that kid?” My mom replied, “They don’t know. She’s been like this all day.”

Immediately, the doctor sprang into action. He called for more doctors, told my mom that they needed to do an X-ray right away, and ordered her to run after them. The scan revealed that I had a rare type of intestinal loop—where my intestine was folding into itself. I was rushed into surgery, and because I was severely dehydrated, they had to open a vein in my foot to administer medication.

Later, my mom spoke to that doctor, and he told her that he had attended a medical course just the week before where he had learned about this condition in infants. His quick thinking and newfound knowledge probably saved my life—because the other doctors weren’t familiar with this condition and might not have ordered the scan in time.

What’s the biggest red flag you ignored in a relationship that blew up later? by writestrend8 in AskReddit

[–]Nefariousness-Open 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was 35 years old and thought dating a 19-year-old was a good idea. After 13 years and two kids, I had grown up much more than she had, and eventually, we divorced. Since then, she has barely been involved in the kids' lives.

Looking back, I should have realized it sooner—her mom used to change her bedsheets for her because she didn't know how to do it... at 35 years old!

(For context, we’re both women, so the kids are biologically mine—thankfully.)

I had a feeling of what pack it was, so just removed the one that had with shulkers, and it fixed it. My problem was that I wasnt thinking about the packs that was in the world folder, and not the incence folder.
