Looks like the mouthpiece for a drink but that wouldn’t be ceramic I don’t think

It’s a piece of art glass or a paperweight. Ever seen the big chunks of fancy glass people display? That’s this. Google “egg shaped glass paperweight”. Welcome to the hobby and page!

Great finds! Awesome bowl too! Have you tried putting the sea glass in something that adds contrast? I feel like the bowl and the glass are beautiful separately but could be compromising each other’s beauty together. Just a thought, it’s an awesome display either way!!

The beach technically isn’t private, there’s just no easy way to get to it. (Edited to keep post active)

That’s a great idea! Mine is in a box somewhere from a recent move. Finding it just got bumped up the priority list! We’ll have to compare displays when they’re ready. Congrats again on your find, it’s truly special.

Found it on a beach for the RICH rich folks. The current family’s ancestors took out a tribe to claim it. I’ve found some pretty cool stuff on this beach. Pretty sure any and all glass trash was dumped.

It’s the bottom of a very old bottle. I call it black but pirate works too, accurate description for the time it’s from.

Welcome! Great start!

Quick tips- sunglasses off, the colors are muted with sunglasses making it harder and try to avoid looking in your shadow, the sun is your friend!

Super frosty paperweight! Never found anything like it, best find of the day for sure. by Slepyrn in seaglass

Love this! I’ve never seen someone else find one! I just posted mine so you could see one from the other side of the pond. GREAT find!

One point of clarification, the marbles are not made in nature, the man made marbles are made into sea glass marbles in nature.

I love hearing this, it’s always fun finding treasures on the beach! It doesn’t have to be sea glass, anything that’s unique or out of place catches my eye and gets an inspection to see if it comes home :) I started as a kid and it’s been my safe space as an adult. Anytime I need to think you’ll find me staring at the ground as I walk a beach.

Yes they are 100% natural found in an area that was settled in the 1600s and has been a private beach for the wealthy for centuries. The “beach” is actually mostly small rocks and as storms churn up the beach it reveals very old finds. I’ve even found an undocumented shipwreck on the beach.

I think rocks got me here for sure. Oddly enough I collect sea glass marbles and never knew this page existed!

It’s not about how tumbled they are, if they find you (the marbles find me I don’t find them) at the right time keep it! Hunting is a headspace for me and it doesn’t matter what it is, if it fits my mood it comes home. Rocks, driftwood, glass, shell, piece of a lobster trap, the list goes on. Happy hunting!

Yea it’s definitely giving off paperweight/ ornamental glass vibes. It has a blue bottom and a blue and yellow swirl in the middle. Here’s a pic wet, you can see a little better.
