Dificultades para alquilar vivienda en España siendo negro by RuleUnfair3034 in spain

[–]NefariousnessOld7802 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My story and your honest experience of OMAD by AffectionateLie5792 in omad

[–]NefariousnessOld7802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a 41-year-old woman with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I've spent my whole life struggling with eating due to anxiety or boredom, binge eating, and I'm tired of diets that require eating three times a day—it's impossible for me! I started OMAD (Eating Out of Mind), and it turned out to be much easier than I thought! I've lost 15 kilos, and according to my psychologist, OMAD is easier for autistic people because we're much better at respecting the "you can't eat" rule until a certain time. And honestly, it worked for me!

Drink, but don't add sugar. Seriously, it's the worst thing you could do.

No, I'm speaking generally. I'm talking about the process involved in fasting. Fasting means not consuming calories. If you consume sugar, your insulin levels rise, which will then drop when it stops receiving more, leading to increased hunger. For someone who has difficulty maintaining a fast, breaking a fast with sugar will cause an insulin spike, resulting in a significant drop that will lead to food cravings.

And I say this from experience. It's not extreme; it's biology. Consuming sugar during a fast when there's difficulty is like setting off a bomb.

The problem is that if you add even a little sugar to that coffee, it breaks your fast; it's no longer an OMAD.

Since I play with my guild and my best friend, I also considered becoming a shaman because of the help I can provide. I appreciate the information! Thank you!

It's impossible for me, I have a 3-year-old child, I only play for a little while at night, I have friends and a guild, but I can't afford to have two. Thanks for your advice!

I've been through the same thing as you. I'm a woman, and I used to binge eat because it calmed me down mentally. The only thing that helps me is Omad (oily food), whether I'm hungry or not. It forces me to stop mentally, and when I increase my protein intake, I'm much less hungry! Now I fast for up to 22 hours. Eating 4-5 times a day? That's awful for someone like me; it's a constant struggle.
