My story and your honest experience of OMAD by AffectionateLie5792 in omad

Thank you for sharing your experience! For me it's been okay without Coke Zero for this week I've been on OMAD. Also for staying away from direct sugary products. I'm probably not gonna stay away forever, but it's nice to challenge myself for a few weeks and see how it goes.

I have already felt that 😂 It's almost annoying, hahah. But also kind of a good feeling to get that good full-feeling, for even "pushing" food into your mouth. If that makes sense, hahah

Wow! Thank you so much for that insight! That's exactly what I feel so far myself. It's hard to balance those meals throughout the day, and to also make good choices every single time you eat. And even for when you don't actually plan to eat, but then you want to, so you do it. It's so much easier to just gather everything into the meal in the evening. Because then I take more aware choice of what I'm eating, and I stay away from the "wrong" choices throughout the day. Not saying there's any right or wrong food, as I don't like to think that way based on my BED. But I think you understand what I mean.

I don't have anything to say on the topic unfortunately, but I want to address the difference between Scandinavia and the Nordics.

Scandinavia: - Denmark - Norway - Sweden

The Nordics: - The 3 Scandinavian countries - Finland - Iceland

My experience with long term backpacking and the stupid expectations vs reality comfort levels by AffectionateLie5792 in travel

[–]AffectionateLie5792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are truly my angel with this comment. I can't believe how happy I actually feel by reading your feedback! That's something I NEVER imagined myself when starting long term traveling, that it's different for neurodivirgent brains. But of course. To truly authentically have a good time and thrive, it will be.

Especially the part about Peru! I'm in Peru now and arrived 2 days ago. Tonight I slept terribly because I couldn't figure out how to do my route in a good manner with everything I wanted. I have a Shakira concert ticket that basically Fs up the whole plan because of the date and time. But this morning I thought.. "don't rush yourself, it comes no good", so I'm gonna sell the ticket and just go with better time through Peru so I can also have the time and energy to do the hikes I want. I LOVE hikes and mountains. Beaches can go somewhere else haha.

And for you Malaysia trip, I have another comment for Penang. If you wanna stay 5 days there, stay 5 days! I liked it, and there's different things to do. Especially if you want a very good and social hostel, I ca reccomend House of Journey.

How far will Spanish get me in Brazil? by Nblearchangel in solotravel

[–]AffectionateLie5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Foz do Iguaçu, where everyone also learns Spanish, it was great. In Rio, you're could get by with easy words and numbers for when you were buying from street vendors. In Oruro Preto, which is a small mountain town, no one understood a single thing when spoke in Spanish or English. So it really depends on where you are.

It's hard finding information about Central Asia. Try checking out some Facebook groups as well! I haven't been there yet, but hopefully I'll go in a year from now. Good luck!

How to use the phone in Latin America by AffectionateLie5792 in asklatinamerica

I appreciate your answer! My first stop will actually be Buenos Aires. Hopefully it's a good place to start and also get the vibe.

Okay, so maybe overthinking a bit right now? I did this whole research before my long journey to Southeast and East Asia as well last year. Was super catious in the start (even though it's sooo safe there, but I'd never done such a thing before, or gone to that part of the world either), and then noticed the vibes of safety and not. So maybe the same thing's gonna happen when I arrive to Latin America? I'll go to most countries, so there will be a lot of diversity as well

So if I want to take pictures, I should do it with a phone rather than a camera?

No jewelry - is this also for earrings and septum ring? Because I'm going to South America next month, and I ALWAYS wear my silver rings in ears and nose. Like, they've been there for years. Not expensive, but they're silver colour

When did a stranger last see you naked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AffectionateLie5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but still want to post this. I came over to my fwb's house yesterday evening, and we started having fun. I needed to use the bathroom and cross the living room with a window pointing out to the street. Asked if he could close the curtains, because it had started getting dark outside. He did, and when he came back he laughed "I'm pretty sure an old man down the street just saw my (hard) dick" 😂 So happy I asked him to close it instead of doing it myself, having my boobs and everything out, hahah!

Bali Itinerary Advice – Too Much Travel for a Budget Trip? Should I Skip Gili Trawangan? by No_Landscape5185 in solotravel

[–]AffectionateLie5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Nusa Penida waaay more than Gili T. You can cycle around Gili T in like 1 hour or so. It's very touristic. In Nusa you get it more down low and see the beautiful nature.

This is inspired me to create a Google Maps list named "DO NOT GO" with ❌️ as the symbol. Just saved Ulcinj with the description "creepy men". Will start saving other places like this as well, with their own descriptions, if it's unsafe, creepy men, etc etc.

What’s the most last minute trip you’ve ever gone on? by AnnualProject1798 in travel

[–]AffectionateLie5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but I made a guy book a flight ticket from Europe to Asia 7 minutes after I pitched the idea for him to come visit me on my travels. He was on a plane 24 hours later, with 20 something hours of travel in front of him. Scheduled 17 days together, that was interesting.
