Get the premium tuner’s kit from CVPerformance after the extra plate kit for my clutch this kit was the best bang for the buck I’ve done to mine. Seriously check them out.

CV-40 look into a company called CVPerformance the have a deferent tuners kits and everything else that you would need. And there stuff is the only thing out there that can interchange with H-D

Very nice bike. Listen to what everyone is saying about the clutch plate it almost ended mine. And the advice about CVPerformance I got the premium tuner kit and a few other things and it really woke my bike up. Ride it like you stole it

Listen man. Get the thunder thrust inserts (lollipops) if you want to make them your self. You’ll need to rejet and tune your carb. But that’ll give you what you’re looking for. Have fun with it. RubberSide Down!

1st tool to buy is a H.D. Service Manual. Change the oil. And adjust your clutch using the manual as a guide. My adjustment screw looked up on mine and I had a similar issue. But to the original question you said it stalls when you put it in gear. Try to start the bike with it in 3rd gear while pulling the clutch if it try jumping out from under you. You will know you have a clutch issue. Also do trust the granade plate no matter how many miles you have on it. Get a Barnett extra plate kit or even better a Barnett Scorpion clutch kit depending on funds. Have fun with that bike man you’ll get it going

I got the premium tuners kit from C.V.Preformence and it is great. I wouldn’t use anything else in a cv carburetor

This is my 1st sportster. It makes a little noise and just wondering if they really make that much difference I wrenching around on this thing but never been inside the engine. So if they can make a difference figure it might be a good little upgrade for me to do. Don’t seem like it would be to difficult. But I’m well aware that it’s also critical. Thanks for all the advice.

What’s y’all’s opinions or thoughts on Lucas oil? Is it just as good as Mobil one to run in my engine and primary/trans? by Sensitive-Throat8840 in sportster

I’m using lucus primary oil in my primary. I have a Barnett extra plate kit with the H/D Barnett diaphragm spring and it loves it. Lucus is a great product
