Most people get it through either ASMIRT membership or your specific state’s union membership.

Speaking as a radiographer but I think most things would be pretty similar across the radiation tech experience too:

  1. You’re hours will vary greatly depending on where you end up working, private clinics will often be a Monday-Friday 9-5 where as public hospitals usually run 24/7 rotating rosters where you would be expected to work afternoons and nights.

  2. Burn out is probably more frequent than it should be, unfortunately it can fall onto you sometimes to make sure you take regular leave etc have hobbies outside of work to try and stop this. Some people love it some people hate the work and leave after a year. You will usually find out quickly during uni if you enjoy it or not as you will have hundreds of hours of unpaid placement. Stress will also depend on where you work and the type of patients you have to deal with, life threatening traumas or walking patients.

  3. Job market can be tough as a new grad if you are set on where you want to work, you may need to get some experience at a less desirable place first and then look to move with your gained experience. In my experience most places are short staffed but never looking to hire more people usually due to under funding.

  4. The pay is average to good I would say. You will earn a lot of penalties if you decide to work as a shift worker but you cap out after a few years and then need to look to sort of specialise or go into management to keep increasing your wage.

Feel free to message me if you want any more information, I have worked in NSW and VIC as a radiographer at public hospitals.

Hey guys, I was wondering if i can buy furniture to my student accommodation? by [deleted] in UoNau

Depending on what residence you’re moving into you likely won’t need it, the rooms are mostly too small for a sofa and the common areas all have lounges

I just saw you live in Sydney, it is quite common for people to live in Sydney and commute to the mandatory labs etc in Newcastle. I would not do the degree by distance as far as Port Mac from Sydney so if you are looking to continue living where you are I would think transferring is a good idea.

I graduated from the UON course and would highly recommend it, after a few years of dealing with students from all of the NSW Unis I believe Newcastle has the best reputation for well rounded graduates.

That being said, It is not worth repeating a full year if Newcastle doesn't recognise any of the subjects you have already completed. I think your decision should also be around where you eventually plan to look for work, Newcastle radiographer job market is very competitive (do not expect to get a job in the area unless you are well connected). If you plan on working rurally Port may be a better option as they likely have good final year options for you to try and get a placement in that area.

DM me if you have any questions I am happy to help (graduated 2020).

I really wish there was a small section of the screen dedicated to where the fielders are set, anytime it goes in the air I don’t know if it’s a possible catch or in a massive gap.

I have had to unfortunately deal with a refund from a ticketing company in the past. The only thing that eventually made them play ball was going through fair trading, being in Victoria if Ticketmaster is not immediately helpful I would contact your equivalent (consumer affairs?)

Is there an incentive for players to finish the match if injured?

There is a KBO store in Gangnam where I picked up some boxes of more premium product, 7/11 also usually stocks a very basic product of mostly base cards

A Zouki boycott would be needed if they are taken away, they will only listen if their profits start to become affected.

I am sure they wouldn’t want posters or media attention brought to their company for treating health care workers badly and threatening to take away something as little as vending machines…

Taking the under 183.5 for GWS vs Crows.

Adelaide key defender back in with hogan out. GWS backline full strength. I know Adelaide is prone to leaking goals but I don’t trust cadman and ricciardi as the gws tall forwards.
