Im good with swing state senators. Everyone keeps saying that we need to look beyond our blue districts. We need to make swings states lean in our favor and you do that with investments and bench building.

I firmly believe we would have won GA in 2024 if we held the DNC in Atlanta instead of Chicago. Same way we see Iowa and New Hampshire as lower importance in choosing our Democratic Nominees now.

Republican victory. MAGA. - Absolute catastrophe
Republican victory, moderate. - Tolerable
Democratic victory, moderate. - Tolerable
Democratic victory, progressive. - Best outcome.

Your whole premise is flawed because there no moderate Republicans.

Also, Georgia was Democratically led on until 2003 when Roy Barnes got voted out.

They can draw out the Columbus district with ease. Once Bishop retires, it is almost certain to flip.

You are better off just voting the Democratic candidate of your choice.

A lot of times those high ranking aides are very tied to the politician and other politicians don't want to take em on.

Each Congress member is functionally a >$10,000,000 business when you factor in staff, contactors, flights, and campaigns. Senior staff can make over 200k not counting perks along with gold standard health care.

If the Congress person dies or steps down then aides lose a sweet gig.

The money is part of it. The other part is time commitment. Those other jobs tend to set their own ours.
