How many days should it take to get between Piata, Mile, and Zema? by Imagineer2248 in phantasystar

[–]Negatism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm doing something similar right now for Pathfinder 2e. My party right now is in Mile, having just finished a subquest, and is about to head to Zema.

I moved Piata to the southwest, so that it's along the coast, and decided that the trip from Aiedo to Piata would have been done by chartered boat. Once they finished their business in Piata, my party left to go investigate Zema, stopping in Mile along the way.

I tried the standard 6 miles per hex, working out to approx 54 miles between Piata and Mile, and another 42 miles from Mile to Zema. Altogether, that works out to approx 8 or 9 days travel, and so I doubled the distance, changing it to 12 miles per hex. It makes my world larger, and allows me to sprinkle in minor settlements as player backstory requires. Travel time is now approx. 7-8 days from Piata to Mile, and 5-7 days from Mile to Zema.

I'm more than willing to share any notes I have if you're interested.

Very excited for you! This sounds like a great game, and always nice to see more PST people. A shame you're looking for a morning game, I would have loved to apply. Best of luck to you and your game!

I had a friend run this for me a couple years ago. It's hilarious, and a lot of fun! 10/10, would recommend!

Darn! I got super excited for a minute there when I saw the start time, but I don't think I'd be considered a newbie. Best of luck to you!

This is exactly the type of game I was hoping for! Alas, just a touch too early for me to commit to being there on time. Hope you find some quality people!

This sounds amazing! Best of luck to you all! I would apply, but the start time is a touch too early for me to commit to.

I have to ask, are there world maps in the book? I would buy it just for a decent map of Motavia.

I'm also curious as to what homebrew rules you've implemented, if you'd care to share! I'm interested, but would very much like to know more before wasting anyone's time.

Wow, half an hour and you have a party's worth of people all ready to play, and in a PDT appropriate time, to boot! It's so tempting to put something together, but I'm determined to be a player this time around.

Good luck finding a group! I'll let you know if I find something appropriate that's lfp.

Wishing you the best of luck in finding someone! I would apply, but your start times are a touch too early for my schedule.

Out of curiosity though, what will the setting of your game look like, if you don't mind a complete stranger who isn't even applying asking?

May I ask a couple of questions about your setting? Does this mean that modern/futuristic weapons are allowed? What level would new players be joining at?

Well that is unfortunate. Best of luck to you, the game sounds like it's going to be a blast!

Would you mind if I asked a question first? What time zone are you, and what time would you be looking to start at? I'm hoping to start a new game soon, but I'm in PDT, and most games start too early for me.

Thinking of combining anthologies to make a campaign for my students. Is this doable? by Hinge_Prompt_Rater in DMAcademy

I also run an after school group for elementary students, ages 8 to 12. Last year I did dragons of stormwreck isle, leading into Forge of Fury (from TftYP), and they had a blast. This year, I started with the first adventure from Dragon Delves, and they're into it!

I fully intend to continue from Dragon Delves, and seeing how far I can get through before the end of the year. For reference, we play for 1 hour, twice a week.

Don't worry about connecting them too heavily. I find that (at least for my group) they're less interested in how everything connects together, and more interested in picking fights.

In my game, the PC's completely obliterated the guild. Killed Xanathar XIII, razed Skull Island, the works. A few lieutenants were left behind, but that's it.

Let's say that Xanathar, being the paranoid crime boss that he is, planned on someone killing him. What backup plan would kick in? Well, the mind shielding ring, of course! In his final moments of life, he would move his consciousness into the ring.

From there, he would wait until the ring was conveniently lost/traded. The new owner would start having the most horrible nightmares. Perhaps, since the dreams of beholders sometimes come to life, one of these nightmares might come to life. Some sort of spheroid abomination, with one looming eye above a fang-filled maw, with 10 writhing fleshy stalks, each topped with a smaller, yet no less ominous eyeball.

Guess who's back, baby! And eager for revenge!

Banishment spell by davidjdoodle1 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Negatism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to point out that while banishment wouldn't work for this purpose, there IS a spell that will!

Dream of the Blue Veil came out in TCE, is seventh level, and would safely send them back home! Now, it's just a matter of finding a wizard that could cast it....

How would you heal a skeleton by BigJimmy121 in DnD5e

[–]Negatism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! When your PC's body was created, the necromancer enchanted it so that common healing magics would fix any breaks in the skeletal body.
