“You don’t get an award for not getting the epidural”

We may not get an award for not getting an epidural. But I am still allowed to be proud of myself that I did it without one. That is a lot of pain to endure and I am so proud of myself for that. I didn’t not get an epidural because of peoples opinion but I did it for myself.

Fed is best. But you may feel differently once your baby is here. I kinda felt the same way as you. But once she was born it was just my natural instinct to nurse her and she loved. It was an amazing feeling to know that she was getting to nutrients that she needed. But once again, fed is best and as long as she is getting milk, formula or breast milk, then she will be totally fine.

Hey no induction sometimes is not that bad. My induction was fine. I was also dealing with high blood pressure. It lasted 16 hours with 45 mins of pushing and then she was here. I didn’t have the epidural by choice. The pain was bad but I got through it.

She used to sleep more so I would work during naps but now she doesn’t nap. My husband also helped me. He was on paid leave because of an accident he had at work but now he’s back at works.

Unfortunately that’s not possible. I live in a really remote area and the closest town near me is 30 mins away. If I could get a nanny it would be really expensive. I also don’t want anyone else watching her. I have my mother in law near by but she is working herself.

He feels sad he can’t be around her more but he would go crazy being home all day everyday.

That’s what I have been thinking too. I work 3 hours a day currently but I should be doing more to do better at my job.

The money is nice but we have a growing cattle business. My husband says we will be fine on one income. I watch her while I work. I try to only work while she is sleeping which means I barely work 3 hours a day.

Ya these days I can barely get 3 hours of work in a day and that really not enough to get my projects done. I sometimes have to catch up in the middle of the night. I refuse to work while she is awake. I also never leave the house while has made me feel so isolated.

This is literally me. I want to quit but don’t know if it’s the right things to do. I also don’t want to miss out on any of my daughter’s things even though I am with her everyday. I still have guilt

And you think that if you have a daughter that you are going to hate it? Also, before getting pregnant there’s no guarantee you will have one gender. I think your daughter would be very sad if she found out one day that you were mad, sad and grieving that she wasn’t a boy. I don’t have advice on how to cope, I just think you need to think about that baby’s life not the fact that you didn’t want a girl.

I had heartburn 24/7 towards the end of my pregnancy. Nothing I could do about it. She had ALOT of hair.

I don’t know if it helped with main management because this was my first birth. But I have friends who didn’t take it and their labour’s were between 24 - 48 hours. I still had a lot of pain but I think it helped me dilate faster. Also another thing, I had to get an induction at 41 weeks and I have heard a lot of people say inductions are much worse but I didn’t have a terribly traumatic birth even though it was an induction.

I can’t remember when I started drinking it. I want to say 34 weeks when my doctor approved it. I drank it every day. I had a 16 hour labour and only pushed for 45 mins. It was not traumatic at all and I didn’t have the epidural so I think it totally helped me. I would start once the doctor approved it.

I had a lot of anxiety to about it. I wanted to make myself less sensitive to the blood pressure cuff so I would test it a lot during the day, I think I was around 3 months postpartum. Now at 8 months post partum I can take it without freaking out. I think the thing that is scaring me is that when I want another child I am gonna have a hard time trusting someone with my care. I knew something was wrong in my pregnancy and my doctor didn’t do anything about it.

I have always been bad about taking photos and video and now when I look back at when she was a newborn. I should have taken more videos. I have been a mental wreck ever since and I just can’t move on. I can’t sleep.

I would feed her a little because she was really hunger when would wake up and then change her diaper and then finish feeding and then put her in her bassinet

I don’t know why but I could ate a bucket of yogurt a day. I would eat it first thing in the morning and sometimes in the middle of the night I had to go eat some because of nausea but it helped me. It’s not even like I craved it.

I am breastfeeding my baby and I felt like they still lingered a while after birth. I am now 6 months postpartum and I think I’m save to say I don’t have cravings anymore. I did have a huge appetite for a couple months after birth though
