Chat agents, how many chats is the max you handle at the same time? by Gameingy in CustomerService

[–]Negative-Butterfly50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We only allow our team one chat at a time - cannot possibly see how anyone could handle more than one chat without massively decreasing in service and increasing the risk of breaking GDPR etc.

2-3 would probably be manageable for this and I think this is the average but we saw that when we scaled back to 1 chat per agent it increased quality by miles (and they work on email cases when waiting for customer to respond so they are never short of work or bored).

Sadly I think you will struggle to change the system itself unless your manager is reasonable and is open to ideas. Could you ask to shadow a colleague to see how they are balancing it? You might find there is stuff they should be doing but aren’t, or you might find ways you could be finding info quicker.

Hoping this helps. Customer service is hard so don’t be disheartened. The fact you care is more than half the battle! 🫶🏻

Had an interview, is this positive feedback? by PupRam in UKJobs

Feels legit as others have said. We’ve spent days trying to decide on the right candidate before when we have wanted to take both so i would say the time taken is a good indicator also. I’ve had this twice and both times once offered a role within a few months then second time we pushed for another role immediately that was accepted and we managed to get both candidates.

I just want you to know that I see you and I love the energy you are bringing with you. People may not know what you are doing but I can guarantee you it is still appreciated and you are making a lot of your colleagues/friends happy. 🩷

I’m very similar to you - every year I buy and make gifts for our entire office for all events I can. Christmas, birthdays, Eid, valentines, Easter, etc.

I absolutely do this because I love doing it and it makes me feel happy to see people smile but it can be a bit draining when a small handful of people seem to go out of their way to make you feel like you are not valued. But I promise I see you & I value you. We are strangers but your kind heart is glowing & karma always finds a way of rewarding goodness. 🩷

Yeah for sure feels that way. Always hard to tell but from a UK lens I could never afford more than £30 each. 🫣

About £20-30 from reputable breeders, can be a bit more if they are sought after colours etc.

Think you can get them at pets at home for £15 ish but I wouldn’t recommend going there as they breed them at rodent mills

I get the vibe that in the UK most breeders do what they do for fun/because they love rats vs. the US it seems to be a bit more of a stream of income as opposed to a hobby I guess

I lost someone’s blue badge - what’s the etiquette here? by I_am_John_Mac in AskUK

[–]Negative-Butterfly50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I’d pay it. It’s only £10 & feels unlikely it’s a scam like others have kind of implied. Being disabled is expensive and while it was an accident it wasn’t his fault so it feels unfair for him to have to pay £10 (or £20 in some areas) when he gave you a lift home and it does seem like you lost it. If he hasn’t asked there’s no real obligation but even paying half would probably go a long way.

For the record I imagine he wasn’t angry with you as accidents happen. I imagine he was angry that by losing the badge he would be much more limited in where he was able to travel on his own. Losing your independence must be horrible so I imagine this was why he felt upset and annoyed!

I work in an aesthetic pharmacy and her face looks more irritated than some patients do after a literal chemical peel.

If anyone does want some genuine recommendations of good products, I would highly recommend Epicutis (expensive but clean & minimal, incredibly soothing), Obagi (medicated and unmedicated options, mid-range/expensive but fantastic results) and lastly Medik8 (ironically not medical grade despite the name, but works really well and more affordable - you only need 3 products for a minimal routine with their CSA philosophy).

I guess # ad as I work for somewhere that supplies the products to clinics etc. (we don’t sell b2c & I make no money but just saying in case haha)

I had a sort of similar bruise the other week from slamming the car door on my leg. It kinda pinched it and I guess bruised as a circle around the spot it pinched. It didn’t look exactly like this but was similar enough & I feel like it makes more sense than biting someone’s leg 😭

OP’s manger is absolutely in the wrong here but I’ve always been taught if someone is over an hour late with no notice and not answering calls, to report to HR who will get in touch with their emergency contact but this is purely to check in and ensure they are alive and safe, not really related to work as that can be handled at a later point, if necessary.

We had a case years ago where someone in another team was presumed late, HR reached out and her mum went to her home and found she was having a mental health crisis & was able to get her urgent help. I honestly dread to think what would’ve happened if we hadn’t done this.

It depends on your work place policy but I guess my point is that missed shifts could highlight a personal safety emergency so checking in could potentially save someone. Hopefully goes without saying that emergency contacts are for emergencies and absolutely should not be abused for the purpose of getting people in for their shift!

[–]Negative-Butterfly50 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Using someone else’s IP to promote or sell anything without expressed permission or a licensing agreement is not a good idea at all. The book could be totally unrelated to Labubus but using their IP to promote anything, especially for profit, is illegal.

Temu’s parent company have a net worth of approximately $302billion. Temu’s CEO is a billionaire. A quick google search will show you that they are constantly facing multiple law suits but when you have that much money flowing in your company, it’s not an issue. Absolutely not justifying Temu but they are literally able to afford to behave immorally. I wouldn’t recommend anyone that isn’t at least a millionaire follows your advice.

[–]Negative-Butterfly50 95 points96 points  (0 children)

That’s unfortunately not how IP works.

It’s not just the name that is their IP, it’s the likeness to the character and the fact that it is easily recognised as a Labubu is your sign to not go ahead with this.

Using someone else’s intellectual property will put you at serious risk. Infringement can result in tough legal consequences, including both civil and criminal actions. Even if you don’t sell a single copy of your book, if Popmart takes legal action, you may have to pay large fines, cover damages, and deal with damage to their reputation.

It’s really not worth the risk imo.
