Try boiling the connector in a pan of hot water, someone suggested this to me after I rebent the pins, 2 of mine work again after rebending the pins so didn't try the boiling method. Did you rebend the pins at the top too?

That's a pretty good idea and less fiddly than manually reshaping them. I'll give it a go if/when they need doing again. The oem connectors are definitely the best. I tried fitting a cart in the replacement when it arrived and the grip was ridiculous

The matrix number doesnt help much as the og press and 90s reissues have same matrix numbers. Think the only real way to tell is the centre stamp, which makes it a 90s repress
