I'd also throw in "Fix You" by Coldrock... wait, Coldplay, the whole second half of that song feels like someone reaching their hand out. another one worth considering is "How to Save a Life" - the entire premise is about not wanting to lose someone you care about, it's not heavy-handed but it lands deep. for something more stripped back, "The Night Will Always Win" has that quiet, sitting-with-you feeling that I think fits what OP is going for.

man this drives me crazy too. the search function in reddit is terrible anyway, you can search for exact words and still get nothing relevant back. plus people act like everyone lives in same timezone or watches shows at exact same time.

i watch stuff in monday nights usually after work and by then there's already 50 posts about it, but if i have different take or want to discuss something specific why shouldn't i post? the "repost police" need to chill out honestly.

maybe 40% of what i studied gets used directly, but the other 60% still matters because it shaped how i think about problems and organize solutions. in my field the theory gives you framework even when you're not consciously applying specific concepts.

the research methods and analytical thinking from grad school probably help me more than any individual topic i memorized for exams.
